In 1630 aangelegd fort, in 1748 vernieuwd voor ontwerp van de Directeur van Fortificatien De Roy.
Vierkant aardwerk, omringd door een gracht, met aan de oost- en de westzijde een hoornwerk, twee half-bastions, verbonden door een gebroken courtine met uitspringende hoek.
In 1784 hersteld. In 1852 midden op het terreplein een bomvrije, ronde stenen toren met tien straalvertrekken en een kelder gebouwd.

Description
Fort laid out in 1630, renewed in 1748 according to the design of the Director of Fortifications De Roy.
Square earthwork, surrounded by a moat, with on the east and west side a hornwork, two demi-bastions, connected by a broken curtain with projecting angle.
Restored in 1784. In 1852 a bombproof, round stone tower with ten radial rooms and a cellar was built in the middle of the parade ground.
