Inleiding.
Twee GRAFTOMBES, in 1909 opgericht voor de gebroeders J.C.A. (1833-1909) en L.C. (1841-1909) Hezenmans. De in Neo-Gotische stijl vervaardigde grafplaten zijn van de hand van N. Glaudemans en zn. Joannes was tijdens zijn leven kerkmeester van de Sint Jan en stadsarchivaris van 's-Hertogenbosch. Lambertus was naast kerkmeester van de Sint Jan ook hoofdarchitect van de restauratie daarvan en bouwde tevens de bisschopskapel (onderdeel I). Het dubbele graf is gelegen in de sectie 25-12-08-11, ten westen van de bisschopskapel.
Omschrijving.
De tombes bestaan uit twee stenen platen die elk 1 bij 2 meter zijn op een hardstenen onderbouw. De platen zijn aan de bovenzijde geornamenteerd met een cirkel waarin in bas-reliëf een schild is aangebracht met afbeelding van de Sint Jan met daaronder respectievelijk een ganzenveer en een passer. De inscriptie van de grafplaten is in gotische letters en luidt: Hier ligt begraven den Wel. Ed. Gestr. heer Joannes Cornelius Antonius Hezenmans in zijn leven kerkmeester van de Kathedraal van St. Jan. Archivaris dezer stad en ridder in de orde van Oranje Nassau. Overleden te 's-Bosch den xvi februari mcmix.
En zijne zuster Mej. Antonia Maria Hezenmans. Overleden te 's-Bosch den xxiii April mdccclxxxvi. R.I.P.
Hier ligt begraven den Wel. Ed. Gestr. heer Lambertus Christianus Hezenmans in zijn leven architect der restauratie van de Kathedraal van St. Jan. Officier in de orde van Oranje Nassau, Ridder in de orde van den H. Gregorius de Grote en Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice. Overleden te 's-Hertogenbosch den xxviii April mcmix en zijne echtgenote Mevrouw Joanna Clasina (J)euken, overleden te 's-Bosch xxii April mcmxv. R.I.P. De signatuur van Glaudemans bevindt zich rechtsonder op de grafplaten.
Waardering.
Het dubbele grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang als illustratie van de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument. Het graf is van belang vanwege de vooraanstaande plaats die de gebroeders Hezenmans in de Bossche maatschappij van rond 1900 innamen. Het graf heeft kunsthistorisch belang vanwege de toegepaste neogotische ornamentiek. Het graf heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van een groter geheel met cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en typologische samenhang. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en typologisch zeldzaam.

Two GRAVE TOMBS, erected in 1909 for the brothers J.C.A. (1833-1909) and L.C. (1841-1909) Hezenmans. The grave slabs made in Neo-Gothic style are by the hand of N. Glaudemans and son.
