Omschrijving
De grote zittribune met trap en hoge scheidingsmuur ligt aan de (lange) oostzijde van het wedstrijdbad en biedt plaats aan 900 toeschouwers. De lichtgebogen tribune is trapsgewijs opgebouwd en bevat zitbanken die met betontegels zijn bekleed en waarvan de rugleuning rood is geschilderd. De tribune telt vier compartimenten zitbanken, de compartimenten zijn door middel van trappen van elkaar gescheiden. Het perron tussen de tribune en de rand van het wedstrijdbad is geplaveid met betontegels. Op de grens van het perron en de tribune staat een heuphoge betonnen muur met hetzelfde gebogen verloop als de tribune. De grote zittribune wordt aan de noordkant door middel van een brede trap ontsloten; deze trap sluit aan op een hoge, in gele baksteen gemetselde scheidingsuur tussen het hoofdgebouw en de tribune. De enige jaren na de opening aangebrachte muurschilderingen op de betonwand van de tribune zijn later overgeschilderd en verdwenen.
Waardering
De grote zittribune met trap en hoge scheidingsmuur vertegenwoordigt algemeen belang wegens:
- de cultuurhistorische waarde want een tribune is een maatvast en onmisbaar recreatief element in de geschiedenis van sport en spel en voorziet in een structureel complement van wedstrijden en andere sportieve manifestaties;
- de architectuurhistorische betekenis aangezien het een fraai, lichtgebogen bouwvolume betreft naar ontwerp van architect Jac. Koolhaas;

Description
The large seating stand with stairs and high dividing wall is situated on the (long) east side of the competition pool and accommodates 900 spectators. The slightly curved stand is built up in tiers and contains benches which are faced with concrete tiles and whose backrests are painted red. The stand comprises four sections of benches, the sections are separated from each other by means of stairs. The deck between the stand and the edge of the competition pool is paved with concrete tiles. On the border between the deck and the stand stands a waist-high concrete wall with the same curved profile as the stand. The large seating stand is accessed on the north side by means of a broad staircase; this staircase connects to a high dividing wall built in yellow brick between the main building and the stand. Murals applied to the concrete wall of the stand shortly after opening were subsequently overpainted and have disappeared.
