Omschrijving
De ten dele onderkelderde dienstwoning naar ontwerp van Jac. Koolhaas heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt twee bouwlagen. Tegen de noordwestelijke gevel is een taps toelopende ingangspartij geplaatst. Het tweedelige dak loopt naar de twee lange zijden van de woning op en eindigt in overstekken. De gevels van de woning zijn opgebouwd uit beton; voor ramen, deuren en dakconstructie is hout gebruikt, het rookkanaal is gemetseld. Op de begane grond bestaat de indeling uit de entree met hal en trapopgang, wc, keuken en woonkamer terwijl op de verdieping een overloop, drie slaapkamers, twee kasten, douche en bergkamer zijn gesitueerd. In 1982 is de dienstwoning aan de lange, op het zuidoosten gerichte zijde vergroot: ter plaatse van het terras werden keuken en woonkamer uitgelegd, daarboven kwam op de verdieping een balkon. De uitbreiding uit 1982 vertegenwoordigt geen monumentale waarde.
Waardering
De dienstwoning vertegenwoordigt algemeen belang wegens
- de betekenis voor de architectuurgeschiedenis want het is een belangrijk en zeldzaam werk met esthetische kwaliteiten uit het oeuvre van architect Jac. Koolhaas;
- de cultuurhistorische betekenis want het contemporaine belang van "wonen naast het werk" komt in de dienstwoning tot uitdrukking;
- de ensemblewaarde want de dienstwoning maakt onlosmakelijk deel uit van de totale en coherente aanleg van De Papiermolen;

Description
The partially cellaraged service dwelling designed by Jac. Koolhaas has a rectangular floor plan and comprises two storeys. Against the northwest facade, a tapered entrance section has been placed. The two-part roof slopes towards the two long sides of the dwelling and ends in overhangs. The facades of the dwelling are constructed from concrete; wood has been used for windows, doors and roof structure, the flue is of brick. On the ground floor the layout comprises the entrance with hall and stair well, toilet, kitchen and living room while on the upper floor there is a landing, three bedrooms, two cupboards, shower and storage room. In 1982 the service dwelling was enlarged on the long, south-east facing side: in place of the terrace the kitchen and living room were extended, and above on the upper floor a balcony was added. The 1982 extension has no heritage value.
Valuation
The service dwelling is of general interest because of
- its significance for the history of architecture as it is an important and rare work with aesthetic qualities from the oeuvre of architect Jac. Koolhaas;
- its cultural-historical significance as the contemporary concept of "living next to work" is expressed in the service dwelling;
