Omschrijving onderdeel 8:
SPIJKER WATERVLIED. In kasteelachtige stijl in 1640 gebouwd rode bakstenen spijker onder een met rode Oudhollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak, dat door een naar Gelderse trant in- en uitgezwenkte gevel met rechthoekige pinakels en aan de achterzijde door een puntgevel met vlechtingen en veelhoekige topschoorsteen wordt afgesloten. Tussen de verdiepingen en onder de topgevel aan de voorzijde muizentandlijsten. De smalle vensters met natuurstenen middendorpels hebben geblokte ontlastingsbogen. Boven de deur een rond venster in natuurstenen omlijsting en geblokte spitsboog. Inwendig een laatgotische schouw. De deur is geschilderd in de kleuren Van Heeckeren in goud en rood. Het gebouw werd gerestaureerd in 1960-1962 en aan de westzijde van een aanbouw voorzien.

SPIJKER WATERVLIED BARN. Red brick barn built in castle-like style in 1640 beneath a gabled roof covered with red Old Dutch tiles, which is closed off on the front by a gable with inward and outward curve in Gelderland manner with rectangular pinnacles and on the rear by a pointed gable with interlacing and polygonal topped chimney. Between the storeys and below the pointed gable on the front dog-tooth mouldings. The narrow windows with natural stone mullions have blocked relieving arches. Above the door a round window in natural stone surround and blocked pointed arch. Internally a late gothic hearth. The door is painted in the Van Heeckeren colours in gold and red. The building was restored in 1960-1962 and provided with an extension on the west side.
