KOETSHUIS MET GARAGE; in rijke Vlaamse Neorenaissance stijl in rode baksteen met natuurstenen speklagen opgetrokken koetshuis uit omstreeks 1882 naar ontwerp van Johannes Jacobus Van Nieukerken. Het koetshuis is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige grondslag met aan de voor(ZW-)zijde een licht naar voren springende middenrisaliet waarin centraal de dubbele houten toegangsdeur, afgesloten door een korfboog waarin twee gebogen vensternissen met mozaïekwerk. De zijgevels en de gevel van de middenrisaliet worden afgesloten door een trapgevel met hardstenen platen en toppilaster. Het koetshuis is overkapt door met grijze gesmoorde Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekte zadeldaken. De dubbele toegangsdeur is voorzien van een vierruitslicht afgesloten door een smeedijzeren rooster met voluten. Links en rechts van de toegangsdeur een hoog halfrond 3-ruitsvenster met bovenlicht. Het venster wordt afgesloten door een smeedijzeren rooster met voluten met in het midden de initiaal van de familie Marggraff. Op de verdieping een dubbele balkondeur met vensters met ruitvormige roedenverdeling en met enkel halfrond bovenlicht. Het balkon ontbreekt. Aan weerszijden van de middenrisaliet een woning -vermoedelijk tuinmans- en koetsierswoning- Met de aan de zijde van de risaliet gesitueerde rechte toegangsdeur met bovenlicht en ernaast een vensterpartij. Vensters en deuren worden afgesloten door een halfronde vensternis waarin mozaïekwerk. De linkerzijde van het koetshuis vertoont beganegronds 3 blinde vensternissen en op de verdieping een dubbel meerruitsvenster onder halfronde vensternis met mozaïekwerk. De achtergevel wordt afgesloten door een geprofileerde gootlijst en vertoont links ter hoogte van de linker dienstwoning een toegangsdeur met 2-ruitsbovenlicht met links een blindnis en rechts twee meerruitsvensters. Deur, nis en vensters worden afgesloten door en halfronde nis waarin mozaïekwerk Aan de linkerzijde werd het koetshuis even terzijde van de hoek aan de achterzijde in het begin van de 20ste eeuw uitgebreid met een garage, eveneens opgetrokken in rijke Vlaamse Neorenaissancestijl met trapgevels en zadeldak met grijze gesmoorde Oud-Hollandse pannen. Vermoedelijk is deze uitbreiding eveneens door Van Nieukerken ontworpen. Tussen garage en koetshuis een rechte muur met poortdoorgang naar de achter het complex gelegen moestuin. Inwendig: centraal in het koetshuis een grote rechthoekige ruimte voor het ronddraaien van de koets en voor de stalling van de koetsen. Rechts hiervan de paardenstal met 4 paardenboxen en ruiven uit de bouwtijd. Tijdens een brand in 2006 is het koetshuis met garage door brand beschadigd geraakt.
Waardering
Het KOETSHUIS MET GARAGE is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang
- als voorbeeld van een door Van Nieukerken ontworpen koetshuis;

COACH HOUSE WITH GARAGE; richly styled Flemish Neo-Renaissance coach house built around 1882 to the design of Johannes Jacobus Van Nieukerken, constructed in red brick with natural stone quoins. The coach house is built on a rectangular groundplan with on the front (SW) side a slightly projecting central risalit featuring centrally a double wooden entrance door, closed off by a segmental arch containing two curved window recesses with mosaic work. The side gables and the gable of the central risalit are terminated by a stepped gable with ashlar plates and top pilaster. The coach house is roofed with grey-fired Old Dutch tiles covering gabled roofs. The double entrance door is provided with a four-light fanlight closed off by a wrought iron grille with volutes. Left and right of the entrance door a tall semicircular 3-light window with fanlight. The window is closed off by a wrought iron grille with volutes with in the centre the initials of the Marggraff family. On the storey a double French door with windows with diamond-shaped glazing bars and with only a semicircular fanlight. The balcony is absent. On either side of the central risalit a dwelling - presumably a gardener's and coachman's dwelling - with the straight entrance door situated at the side of the risalit with fanlight and beside it a window group. Windows and doors are closed off by a semicircular window recess containing mosaic work. The left side of the coach house shows on the ground floor 3 blind window recesses and on the storey a double multi-light window under a semicircular window recess with mosaic work. The rear gable is terminated by a moulded drip moulding and shows at the level of the left service dwelling a door with 2-light fanlight with on the left a blind recess and on the right two multi-light windows. Door, recess and windows are closed off by a semicircular recess containing mosaic work. On the left side the coach house was extended at the beginning of the 20th century slightly aside from the corner on the rear with a garage, likewise constructed in rich Flemish Neo-Renaissance style with stepped gables and a gabled roof with grey-fired Old Dutch tiles. This extension was presumably also designed by Van Nieukerken. Between garage and coach house a straight wall with a gate passage to the kitchen garden located behind the complex. Interior: centrally in the coach house a large rectangular space for turning the coach and for the stabling of coaches. To the right of this the horse stable with 4 horse boxes and mangers from the time of construction. During a fire in 2006 the coach house with garage was damaged by fire.
