Omschrijving onderdeel 4
DRUIVENKAS; aan de zuidzijde van de moestuin opgetrokken grote druivenkas uit ca. 1900 met verhoogd middenstuk en twee symmetrische zijstukken. De kas staat op een rode bakstenen borstwering, waarboven een opbouw in roeden en glas. Het middenstuk is opgetrokken op een vierkante grondslag met afgeschuinde hoeken. Aan de voor(zuid-)zijde een dubbele ijzeren deur. Het middenstuk wordt bekroond door een lantaarn. De daklijst van het middenstuk is versierd met een ornamentele zinken rand. De achter (noord-)zijde van het middenstuk is geheel in baksteen opgetrokken. Deze muur fungeert tevens als achtermuur van het aan de noordzijde ervan gelegen in rode baksteen opgetrokken stookhok (afgesloten door met gesmoorde Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak). De zijstukken worden afgesloten door een zadeldak in roeden en glas. Aan de kopse kant van de zijstukken een ijzeren toegangsdeur. Beide zijstukken dienden oorspronkelijk als druivenkas, zo blijkt uit de aanwezigheid van ijzeren stangen en geleiders aan de binnenzijde van het glasdek. Naderhand werd de rechter (oostelijke) kas ingericht tot tabletkas met gemetselde tabletten langs de gevels en een gemetselde kribbe in het midden. De kas werd gebouwd door de Belgische kassenbouwer L. Baetens & C. uit Brussel-Schaerbeek en staat afgebeeld in een brochure van deze bouwer. De kas op Zionsburg is het enige in Nederland nog bewaard gebleven exemplaar van dit type kas met verhoogd middenstuk en twee symmetrische zijstukken.

GRAPE HOUSE; large grape house built at the south side of the kitchen garden from approximately 1900 with a raised central section and two symmetrical side sections. The greenhouse stands on a red brick breast wall, above which a structure of glazing bars and glass. The central section is built on a square groundplan with chamfered corners. On the front (south) side a double iron door. The central section is crowned with a lantern. The cornice of the central section is decorated with an ornamental zinc border. The rear (north) side of the central section is entirely constructed in brick. This wall also serves as the rear wall of the boiler house built in red brick located on its north side (closed off by a gabled roof covered with grey-fired Old Dutch tiles). The side sections are closed off by a gabled roof in glazing bars and glass. At the gable end of the side sections an iron entrance door. Both side sections originally served as grape houses, as evidenced by the presence of iron rods and guides on the inside of the glass roof. Later the right (eastern) house was fitted out as a shelf house with brick shelves along the gables and a brick trough in the middle. The greenhouse was built by the Belgian glasshouse builder L. Baetens & C. from Brussels-Schaerbeek and is illustrated in a brochure by this builder. The greenhouse at Zionsburg is the only surviving example of this type of greenhouse with a raised central section and two symmetrical side sections remaining in the Netherlands.
