Inleiding
Voormalige ZIEKENBARAK, deel uitmakend van het uit 1930-1933 daterende complex Quarantaine-inrichting in zakelijk-expressionistische trant en gesitueerd aan de oostrand van het terrein, zuidelijk van de isoleerbarak. De ziekenbarak omvatte onder meer de ziekenzaal, het dagverblijf, twee officierskamers en een kamer voor de hoofdverpleging.
Omschrijving
Op een symmetrische plattegrond opgetrokken ZIEKENBARAK van een bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een met rode pannen bedekt overkragend schilddak. Het hoofdvolume is westelijk georiënteerd met in het midden de hoofdingang geflankeerd door twee kleine tweeledige vensters en aan weerszijden drie hoge vensters met roedenverdeling. Aan de oostzijde heeft dit bouwvolume drie vensters aan weerszijden van de haaks hierop geplaatste dwarsvleugel met ziekenzaal en dagverblijf. Deze ziekenzaal wordt aan weerszijden (noord en zuid) verlicht door zes hoge vensters met roedenverdeling. Het in het verlengde hieraan grenzende smallere bouwvolume met het dagverblijf wordt aan de oostzijde verlicht door vier vensters met roedenverdeling en aan de noord- en zuidzijde door twee vensters. De aan weerszijden haaks hierop geplaatste uitbouwen hebben aan de oostzijde een deur met aan weerszijden van de uitbouw twee kleine tweeledige vensters. De westelijke gevels van deze uitbouwen zijn blind uitgevoerd.

Voormalige ZIEKENBARAK als beeldbepalend en historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het in 1930-1933 gebouwde complex Quarantaine-inrichting, van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde, alsook vanwege de ensemble- en situationele waarde in relatie tot de overige complexonderdelen.

Introduction
Former HOSPITAL WARD, forming part of the Quarantine Facility complex dating from 1930-1933 in businesslike-expressionist style and situated at the eastern edge of the site, south of the isolation ward. The hospital ward comprised among other things the patient ward, the day room, two officers' rooms and a room for the head nursing staff.
Description
Built on a symmetrical floor plan HOSPITAL WARD of one storey and a roof space storey under a hipped roof covered with red tiles and overhanging. The main volume is oriented to the west with in the middle the main entrance flanked by two small two-paned windows and on either side three high windows with glazing bars. On the east side this building volume has three windows on either side of the transverse wing placed at right angles to it with patient ward and day room. This patient ward is lit on either side (north and south) by six high windows with glazing bars. The narrower building volume adjoining this in continuation with the day room is lit on the east side by four windows with glazing bars and on the north and south side by two windows. The extensions placed at right angles on either side have on the east side a door with on either side of the extension two small two-paned windows. The western facades of these extensions are executed blind.
