Omschrijving
TUINBEELD, in de jaren zestig van de twintigste eeuw geplaatste achttiende-eeuwse marmeren beeldengroep op sokkel, voorstellende Asklepios, Hygieia en Telesphoros. Het beeld stond omstreeks 1900 bij Rhederoord, eveneens Brantsenbezit. Het beeld staat op de dam tussen de beide spiegelvijvers ten zuiden van het huis Zypendaal. Asklepios was de god der geneeskunde; zijn dochter Hygieia de godin van de gezondheid en zijn zoon Telesphoros de god van de genezing. Het beeld staat op een marmeren sokkel met geprofileerd basement met pilastertjes op de hoeken en afgesloten met een geprofileerde dekplaat. De naakte bebaarde Asklepios zit op een rotsblok. tegen hem aan staat Hygieia, gehuld in een geplooid kleed met in haar armen de kleine Telesphoros. Aan de voeten van Asklepios en Hygieia liggen twee verstrengelde slangen.

Description
GARDEN STATUE, eighteenth-century marble statue group on base placed in the nineteen-sixties, depicting Asklepios, Hygieia and Telesphoros. The statue stood around 1900 at Rhederoord, likewise Brantsen property. The statue stands on the dam between the two mirror ponds south of the house Zypendaal. Asklepios was the god of medicine; his daughter Hygieia the goddess of health and his son Telesphoros the god of healing. The statue stands on a marble base with moulded basement with small pilasters on the corners and finished with a moulded coping. The naked bearded Asklepios sits on a rock. Against him stands Hygieia, dressed in pleated clothing with in her arms the small Telesphoros. At the feet of Asklepios and Hygieia lie two intertwined snakes.
