Omschrijving
In het midden van de 19de eeuw tot stand gekomen TUINHUIS of paviljoen, gebouwd als speelhuisje voor de kinderen van de familie Brantsen. Later de woning van de huisknecht van Zypendaal. De middenpartij aan noordzijde is een latere toevoeging. Het gebouw ligt aan de bovenste Spiegelvijver, aan het eind van een lange zichtas en vormt als zodanig een belangrijk focuspunt in de aanleg van het park. Gebouw van één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping op rechthoekige plattegrond onder overstekend zadeldak, met aan de zuidzijde een veelhoekige, torenvormige uitbouw onder tentdak met zinken piron en aan de noordzijde een uitgebouwd gedeelte van twee bouwlagen hoog onder een flauw hellend zadeldak dat op het hoofddak aanloopt. Langs de dakranden geschulpte druiplijsten. De bakstenen gevels staan op een gepleisterde plint. Op de hoeken gepleisterde en verspringende hoekblokken die aan de korte zijde met een gepleisterde band verbonden zijn aan de bovenzijde. GARDEN HOUSE or pavilion built in the middle of the 19th century, constructed as a playhouse for the children of the Brantsen family. Later the residence of the manservant of Zypendaal. The central section on the north side is a later addition. The building is located at the upper Spiegelvijver, at the end of a long sight line and thus forms an important focal point in the layout of the park. Building of one storey and a roof storey on rectangular plan under overhanging gabled roof, with on the south side a polygonal, tower-shaped extension under a tent roof with zinc weathervane and on the north side an extended section of two storeys high under a shallow pitched gabled roof that runs onto the main roof. Scalloped drip mouldings along the roof edges. The brick facades stand on a plastered plinth. On the corners plastered and recessed corner blocks which on the short side are connected with a plastered band at the top. Windows and entrances with plastered lintel on likewise blocks at the top.
