Omschrijving
In de noordoostelijke hoek van de Hertenkamp ten noorden van het Huis Sonsbeek staande HERTENVERBLIJF in chaletstijl, na 1902 gebouwd als vervanger van een grotere voorganger.
Gebouwtje op rechthoekige plattegrond, één bouwlaag met zolderverdieping hoog onder een schilddak met afgestoken dakschild boven de brede hoofdgevel aan parkzijde. Deze afsteek rust op drie houten korbeelstellen. Het dak is gedekt met riet en op de nok voorzien van gesmoorde gebakken nokvorsten. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen en wat betreft de voorgevel en rechter zijgevel gewit. Het bovendeel van de gevels heeft een houten beschot. In de voorgevel twee rondboogvormige open doorgangen.
De rechter zijgevel bezit een ingang met houten rondboogdeur en aan weerszijden een rondboogvenstertje met bakstenen lekdorpel en 6-ruits raam. In de top van de gevel een houten luik. De overige gevels zijn blind.

Description
In the north-eastern corner of the Hertenkamp north of Huis Sonsbeek stands a DEER LODGE in chalet style, built after 1902 as a replacement for a larger predecessor.
Small building on rectangular ground plan, one storey with an attic storey beneath a hipped roof with cut-off roof section above the broad main facade on the park side. This cut-off rests on three wooden corbels. The roof is tiled with reed and provided on the ridge with smothered decorative roof cresting in baked clay. The facades are built of brick and whitewashed as to the front facade and right side facade. The upper part of the facades has timber cladding. In the front facade two round-arched open passages.
The right side facade has an entrance with wooden round-arched door and on either side a small round-arched window with brick drip moulding and 6-pane window. In the apex of the facade a wooden shutter. The remaining facades are blank.
