Twee in neoclassicistische stijl gebouwde PORTIERSWONINGEN uit 1821 en volgende jaren. De beide woningen vormen een symmetrisch opgezette, monumentale entree tot de buitenplaats. Zij zijn wellicht een ontwerp van de architect Anthony Aytink van Falkenstein (1797-1840), sinds 1821 leraar in de bouwkunst bij Het Arnhemse Genootschap Kunstoefening en vanaf 1827 stadsarchitect van Arnhem.
De beide paviljoens met rechthoekige lage aanbouwen aan weerszijden van de entree zijn vrijwel geheel overeenkomstig opgezet. Zij staan op een achtzijdige plattegrond, waarvan de gevelzijden aan de doorgangszijde breder zijn dan de overige zijden. Zinken roevendak. De gevels zijn van baksteen, staan op een hardstenen plint en worden afgesloten met een hoofdgestel. Hierboven een houten attiek met hoekposten met daartussen balusterreeksen die het dak aan het oog onttrekken. Op de hoeken van de achtzijdige gebouwtjes bevinden zich hoekpilasters, waarboven het hoofdgestel en de attiek zijn omgezet. Two PORTER'S LODGES built in neoclassical style in 1821 and following years. Both dwellings form a symmetrically arranged, monumental entrance to the country estate. They are presumably a design by architect Anthony Aytink van Falkenstein (1797-1840), teacher of architecture from 1821 at Het Arnhemse Genootschap Kunstoefening and from 1827 city architect of Arnhem.
Both pavilions with rectangular low extensions on either side of the entrance are arranged almost identically. They stand on an octagonal floor plan, of which the facade sides on the passage side are wider than the other sides. Zinc roof with glazing bars. The facades are of brick, stand on an ashlar plinth and are finished with a main cornice. Above this is a wooden attic with corner posts with balustrade sections between them which conceal the roof from view. On the corners of the octagonal buildings are corner pilasters, above which the main cornice and the attic are turned. The wide facades facing the passage have a slight central risalit with the main entrance under a profiled natural stone semicircular arch with keystone. The arches meet at the height of the door jamb on a natural stone moulded band. The entrances have double wooden panelled doors and a semicircular fanlight. Beside the risalits stand half ashlar posts, remnants of gate posts, which were originally connected to the porter's lodges via brick walls. In the short sloped side facades of the buildings are sash windows with profiled wooden frames. The interior was intended as a service and reception space, paved with brick and with a fireplace opposite the entrance. The adjoining dwellings, intended for the steward and the cook, have a rectangular floor plan, are one storey high and covered with a hipped roof. The brick facades are finished at the top with a simple main cornice. The short facades of these extensions facing the passage each have a window with stretcher and a 9-light sash frame.
