Omschrijving
Aan het IJ bevinden zich twee hellingbanen, alsmede een kraanbaan met kraan. Gebouwd onder leiding van G.J. Langhout, gewijzigd onder J.D. Postma. De Kleine Hellingbaan (helling IV) is de westelijk gelegen hellingbaan, bestaande uit bebouwing met een schuin naar het water aflopend dek, uitkomend in het water. Gebouwd in 1927 en uitgebreid in 1952. De Grote Hellingbaan is de oostelijke hellingsbaan, ontstaan in de jaren 1950 uit een samenvoeging van hellingbaan II en III (ca. 1920). Boven op bebouwing is een schuin aflopend dek aangebracht, uitkomend in het water. Tussen de hellingbanen bevindt zich een kraanbaan met hijskraan.
Waardering
Hellingbanen en kraanbanen van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een van de belangrijkste scheepsbouwwerven in Nederland, en van stedenbouwkundige waarde voor de werf door de bepalende, schuin geplaatste ligging aan het water.

Description
On the IJ there are two slipways, as well as a crane track with crane. Built under the direction of G.J. Langhout, altered under J.D. Postma.
