Voormalige TIMMERWERKPLAATS, deel van een in 1909 aan de Conradstraat gemaakt gebouw waarvan het andere deel hergebruikt is ten behoeve van de smederij, in 1927 verplaatst naar de huidige locatie, naar ontwerp van G.J. Langhout, als onderdeel van het complex Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, oorspronkelijk gebouwd voor de Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij. Vrijstaand bouwwerk, gelegen aan de westzijde van het terrein.
Loods met aan de noord- en westzijde gevels in stalen raamwerkconstructie gevuld met bakstenen metselwerk en doorlopende vensterpartijen met vierkante ruiten in stalen sponningen onder een zeer flauw zadeldak met lichtstraten. Aan de zuidzijde een gesloten gevel met een kantooruitbouw met stalen raamwerkconstructie en aan de oostzijde een dichte gevel die recent is opengebroken.
Inwendig een voormalige halruimte met vakwerkkolommen en Engelse spanten, nu recentelijk verbouwd tot kantoor.

Timmerwerkplaats van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een van de belangrijkste scheepsbouwwerven in Nederland, alsmede van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de constructie van Engelse spanten en vakwerkkolommen en de gedeeltelijk verglaasde vakwerkgevels.

Description
Former CARPENTRY WORKSHOP, part of a building made in 1909 on the Conradstraat of which the other part was reused for the smithy, moved in 1927 to the present location, to the design of G.J. Langhout, as part of the complex Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, originally built for the Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij.
