Inleiding
Het bij het in 1929 gestichte Johannahuis behorende TOEGANGSHEK staat aan de noordzijde en markeert het begin van de oprijlaan aan de Schouwweg.
Omschrijving
Uit grauwe baksteen opgetrokken, sober vormgegeven hekpijlers met natuurstenen dekplaten, bestaande uit twee hogere hekpijlers voor een brede entree van auto's en één kleinere voor de smallere entree van voetgangers.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege de stilistische, ruimtelijke en functionele relatie met de overige complexonderdelen van het verzorgingstehuis, genaamd het 'Johannahuis'.
