Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 7: HEKPIJLERS behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Overvelde.
De toegang tot de oprijlaan naar het hoofdgebouw wordt aan de Boxbergerweg gemarkeerd door twee hardstenen vierkante hekpijlers met afgeschuinde hoeken een lage plint en een min of meer ronde afsluiting aan de bovenzijde. De plaats waar de rechte zijden zich naar het middelpunt buigen wordt gemarkeerd door een brede band waarin de naam 'Het Overvelde' gebeiteld is. De pijlers dateren vermoedelijk uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw.

De HEKPIJLERS behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Overvelde zijn van algemeen belang:

Description
Description of component 7: GATE PIERS belonging to the historic country estate Overvelde.
The access to the drive to the main building is marked at the Boxbergerweg by two limestone square gate piers with bevelled corners, a low plinth and a more or less rounded finish at the top. The place where the straight sides curve towards the centre is marked by a broad band in which the name 'Het Overvelde' is chiselled. The piers are presumably dated to the second half of the 19th century.
