Omschrijving onderdeel 4: BRUG behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Overvelde.
Ten westen van het hoofdgebouw voert de toegangslaan over een brug welke bestaat uit twee keermuren van vermoedelijk gegoten betonachtig materiaal, die aan weerszijden worden beëindigd door vierkante pijlers van hetzelfde materiaal. Op de vier pijlers staan schampstenen van gepleisterde rode baksteen op vierkante grondslag waarvan de hoeken zijn afgeschuind, bekroond door een piramide-vormige afdeksteen. De schampstenen zijn paarsgewijs verbonden door een ijzeren ketting. Het brugdek onderscheidt zich niet van omgeving, een met klinkers bestrate weg met aan weerszijden een strook gras. De brug dateert vermoedelijk uit de 19de eeuw.

Description
Description component 4: BRIDGE belonging to the historical country estate Overvelde.
West of the main building the access lane crosses a bridge which consists of two retaining walls of presumably cast concrete-like material, which are terminated on either side by square piers of the same material. On the four piers stand corner stones of rendered red brick on square base of which the corners are bevelled, crowned by a pyramid-shaped coping stone. The corner stones are connected pairwise by an iron chain. The bridge deck does not distinguish itself from its surroundings, a road paved with clinker bricks with on either side a strip of grass. The bridge presumably dates from the 19th century.
