TWEE TUINVAZEN behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Mariëndaal.
De beide tuinvazen zijn als identieke markeringen van de oprijlaan aan de Utrechtseweg nabij de portierswoning, in een op de neoclassicistische vormentaal geënte stijl uitgevoerd en dateren vermoedelijk uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw.
Elke natuurstenen tuinvaas staat op een, vermoedelijk later vervaardigde, bakstenen sokkel op vierkante grondslag. De vaas staat op een vierkant basement en heeft een geprofileerde ronde voet. De twee zijden van de vaas zijn voorzien van een in een medaillon gebeeldhouwd hoofd 'en profil' met lauwerkrans en toga. De onderzijde van de vaas bevat een geprofileerde versiering. De vaas is verder voorzien van een geornamenteerde deksel met bekroning.
Waardering
De TWEE TUINVAZEN als onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats 'Mariëndaal' zijn van algemeen belang:
- als goed voorbeeld van een tuinvaas in een van het neoclassicisme afgeleide stijl;
- vanwege de ruimtelijke relatie als markering van de oprijlaan;
- als bijzondere uitdrukking van een ontwikkeling in de (bewonings)geschiedenis van de buitenplaats;

TWO GARDEN URNS belonging to the historic country estate Mariëndaal.
Both garden urns are positioned as identical markers of the drive at the Utrechtseweg near the lodge, executed in a style based on neoclassical forms and dating presumably from the second half of the nineteenth century.
Each natural stone garden urn stands on a, presumably later manufactured, brick base on a square foundation. The urn stands on a square basement and has a profiled round base. The two sides of the urn are furnished with a head sculpted in a medallion 'en profil' with laurel wreath and toga. The underside of the urn contains a profiled ornament. The urn is further equipped with an ornamented lid with crest.
Valuation
The TWO GARDEN URNS as part of the historic country estate 'Mariëndaal' are of general interest:
- as a good example of a garden urn in a style derived from neoclassicism;
- because of the spatial relationship as a marker of the drive;
- as a particular expression of a development in the (residential) history of the country estate;
