BRUGGEN en KEERMUREN behorend bij de historische buitenplaats Slangenburg. In de as van het kasteel (Kasteellaan) liggen twee nagenoeg identieke houten bruggen, qua vormgeving XVIII of XIX: één van het kasteel naar het voorplein (over de binnengracht) (4A), de ander van het voorplein naar de Kasteellaan (over de buitengracht) (4B); het brugdek met planken wordt gedragen door jukken met iets schuin geplaatste benen; kloeke vierkante houten balusters, waartussen kettingen met om en om ruitvormige en ovale schakels; deze zelfde balusters met kettingen staan ook op de keermuren; als versiering aan de buitenzijde van en aansluitend onder aan het brugdek ajour gezaagde planken; de eerste brug heeft 5 jukken, de tweede 3. De bakstenen keermuren verbinden de beide kasteelvleugels en fungeren als brughoofd; hetzelfde is het geval op het voorplein, waar de eindgevels van de bouwhuizen twee aan twee door keermuren met elkaar verbonden zijn; de muren zijn met zandstenen platen gedekt.

Description
BRIDGES and RETAINING WALLS belonging to the historic country estate Slangenburg. In the axis of the castle (Kasteellaan) lie two almost identical wooden bridges, in terms of design XVIII or XIX: one from the castle to the forecourt (over the inner moat) (4A), the other from the forecourt to the Kasteellaan (over the outer moat) (4B); the bridge deck with planks is supported by frames with slightly slanting legs; sturdy square wooden balusters, between which chains with alternating diamond-shaped and oval links; these same balusters with chains also stand on the retaining walls; as decoration on the outside of and adjoining below the bridge deck openwork sawn planks; the first bridge has 5 frames, the second 3. The brick retaining walls connect the two castle wings and function as bridge abutments; the same is the case in the forecourt, where the end gables of the estate buildings are connected to each other two by two by retaining walls; the walls are capped with sandstone slabs.
