Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 7. Portierswoning (Hal 11, 5296 PZ Esch, op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr. 7).
Aan het begin van de toegangslaan staat een op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken PORTIERSWONING, gebouwd in chaletstijl in 1909. De woning bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder een met rode kruispannen gedekt samengesteld schilddak met overstek, en is voorzien van een geprofileerde bakgoot op houten korbeelschoren. In het zuidwestelijke dakschild een dakkapel. Het muurwerk is in kruisverband opgetrokken met ter hoogte van de onder- en bovendorpels van de vensters banden van gele verblendsteen. Dito steen in de ontlastingsbogen en spaarvelden. Tegen de achterzijde staat een aanbouwtje uit 1933 onder een met rode tuile de nord pannen gedekt lessenaarsdak. De drie traveeën brede voorgevel heeft een asymmetrisch aanzien door een open veranda voor de twee rechter traveeën. De veranda heeft een tegelvloer en houten hekwerk; twee houten stijlen ondersteunen een op het hoofddak aankappend zadeldak met windveren en een houten tongewelf. Centraal in de gevel een paneeldeur met bovenlicht geflankeerd door een stolpvenster met onderluiken. In de top onder het overstek een verdiepingsvenster. In de rechterzijgevel twee vensters als voor. Kelder met koekoek.

Description component 7. Gatekeeper's cottage (Hal 11, 5296 PZ Esch, indicated on the accompanying map with no. 7).
At the beginning of the access drive stands a GATEKEEPER'S COTTAGE erected on a rectangular plan, built in chalet style in 1909. The dwelling consists of one storey beneath a compound hipped roof covered with red cross tiles and is fitted with a profiled brick gutter on wooden corbels. In the southwest roof plane a roof dormer. The masonry is laid in common bond with bands of yellow facing brick at the height of the lower and upper sills of the windows. Ditto stone in the relieving arches and spandrels. Against the rear side stands an annex from 1933 beneath a half-hip roof covered with red Normandy tiles. The three-bay wide front facade has an asymmetrical appearance due to an open veranda in front of the two right bays. The veranda has a tiled floor and wooden railings; two wooden posts support a gabled roof attached to the main roof with wind braces and a wooden barrel vault. Centrally in the facade a panel door with fanlight flanked by a bay window with lower shutters. In the top beneath the eaves projection an upper window. In the right side facade two windows as before. Cellar with ventilation chimney.
