TENNISBAAN MET TENNISHUISJE behorende tot de buitenplaats Nijenhuis.
Ten noordwesten van de huisplaats ligt een tennisbaan met daarnaast een halfopen huisje waar tijdens het spel wat gedronken kon worden. De tennisbaan bestaat uit een veld van rechthoekige betonnen platen. Het blokhutachtige huisje heeft een gemetselde rood bakstenen plint en een opbouw van zwart geteerde houten palen, bijeengehouden door verticale staanders onder een met leien gedekt tentdak. De voorkant is open. Inwendig een omlopende houten bank tegen de drie wanden. Vermoedelijk werd dit huisje aan het begin van de 20ste eeuw in een kleine oplage speciaal voor de familie gemaakt. Ook op enkele andere landgoederen hebben dergelijke huisjes gestaan, onder andere in Duitsland. Het exemplaar op het Nijenhuis is voor zover bekend het enige dat bewaard is gebleven. Tennisbaan en tennishuisje dateren uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw.

Description
TENNIS COURT WITH TENNIS PAVILION belonging to the country estate Nijenhuis.
To the northwest of the house site lies a tennis court with, adjacent to it, a semi-open pavilion where refreshments could be taken during play. The tennis court consists of a field of rectangular concrete slabs. The log-cabin-like pavilion has a mortared red brick plinth and a superstructure of black tarred wooden poles, held together by vertical studs under a slate-covered tent roof. The front is open. Internally, a continuous wooden bench against three walls. This pavilion was presumably made at the beginning of the 20th century in a small series specifically for the family. Similar pavilions have also existed on several other country estates, including in Germany. The specimen at Nijenhuis is, as far as is known, the only one that has been preserved. The tennis court and tennis pavilion date from the beginning of the 20th century.
