TUINBEELD OP SOKKEL (PUTTO MET EVERZWIJN) behorende tot de buitenplaats Nijenhuis.
In de as van het huis, even voorbij het toegangshek, staat op het voorplein een marmeren beeld van een putto met everzwijn op een ovale getorcheerde sokkel van betonachtig materiaal. Het beeld dateert vermoedelijk uit de 18de eeuw, de sokkel is van latere datum. Het beeld was al vóór de aanleg van Poortman aanwezig, de huidige plaats in de aanleg werd door Poortman bedacht (brief Schimmelpenninck aan Poortman 19 mei 1889: 'Wil ook een plaats zoeken voor "het kind met het zwijn", en dit ook schoon laten maken').

Description
GARDEN SCULPTURE ON PEDESTAL (PUTTO WITH WILD BOAR) belonging to the country estate Nijenhuis.
On the axis of the house, just beyond the entrance gate, stands on the front courtyard a marble sculpture of a putto with wild boar on an oval torchered pedestal of concrete-like material. The sculpture probably dates from the 18th century, the pedestal is of later date. The sculpture was already present before Poortman's layout, the present location in the layout was devised by Poortman (letter Schimmelpenninck to Poortman 19 May 1889: 'Will you also find a place for "the child with the pig", and have it also cleaned properly').
