Omschrijving
Het GRAFMONUMENT (klasse 1, vak 36, nr. 40) van het echtpaar Leonard Ambrosius en Maria Johanna Kleine-Gartman, respectievelijk musicus en actrice, in oorsprong opgericht in 1885 op de Oude Oosterbegraafplaats en in 1897 overgebracht naar de Nieuwe. Het natuurstenen grafmonument, naar een ontwerp van L. Binger werd uitgevoerd als een klassiek tempelfront, een tympaan rustend op een fries met trigliefen en metopen. In het vlak een medaillonportret, omgeven door palmtak en lauwertak in reliëf door de heren Matthijs. Vóór het staande grafteken een sierlijk gesmeed ijzeren hekwerk, geleverd door de Haagse firma L.I. Enthoven.

The GRAVE MONUMENT (class 1, section 36, no. 40) of the married couple Leonard Ambrosius and Maria Johanna Kleine-Gartman, musician and actress respectively, originally erected in 1885 at the Oude Oosterbegraafplaats and transferred to the Nieuwe in 1897. The natural stone grave monument, designed by L. Binger, was executed as a classical temple front, a tympanum resting on a frieze with triglyphs and metopes. In the plane a medallion portrait, surrounded by palm branch and laurel branch in relief by Messrs. Matthijs. Before the standing gravestone an elegant wrought iron railing, supplied by the The Hague firm L.I. Enthoven.
