Uit 1881 daterend GRAFMONUMENT (klasse 2, vak 1, nr 19) van de dichter Jacques Perk (1859-1881), wiens werk van grote invloed is geweest op de Tachtigers. De staande grafsteen met halfronde zijvoluten en bekroning en medaillonportret naar ontwerp van P. Dager te Luik sluit direct aan op een liggende zerk voor de vader van Jacques, die in 1916 werd bijgezet. Het lage smeedijzeren hekwerk staat op hardstenen neuten.

Description
Grave monument (class 2, section 1, no. 19) dating from 1881 of the poet Jacques Perk (1859-1881), whose work had great influence on the Eighty movement. The upright gravestone with semicircular side volutes and finial and medallion portrait, designed by P. Dager of Liège, is directly adjacent to a recumbent stone for the father of Jacques, who was buried in 1916. The low wrought-iron railings stand on hardstone bases.

Late 19th-century grave monument for the nationally renowned poet Jacques Perk, part of the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats and as such of general importance due to cultural and funerary-historical value.
