Door A.W. Weissman in eclectische neo-renaissance ontworpen in oorsprong vrijstaande BARENLOODS van de Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats (met latere, niet beschermenswaardige aanbouwen). Gelegen aan de rechterzijde van de aula, naast het huidige (niet beschermde) kantoor. De loods dateert van 1892. Gebouwd op een rechthoekig grondplan en voorzien van een zadeldak met leien gedekt. De toegang bevindt zich van het terrein afgekeerd en bestaat uit een grote ronde open poort, waarboven in de puntgevel (N) een rond raam is aangebracht. Boven de poort bevindt zich een sierlijk gesmede lantaarn. In rode verblendsteen opgetrokken, afgewisseld door hardstenen banden van wisselende breedte. Schouderstukken van hardsteen, voorzien van florale motieven in reliëf, te weerszijden van de puntgevel. De zijgevels zijn blind. De achtergevel (Z) heeft een hooggelegen rond venster.

Designed by A.W. Weissman in eclectic neo-renaissance style, originally a free-standing MATERNITY LODGE of the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats (with later, non-protected additions). Located on the right side of the aula, next to the current (non-protected) office. The lodge dates from 1892. Built on a rectangular plan and provided with a gabled roof covered with slate. The entrance faces away from the grounds and consists of a large round open gate, above which a round window is fitted in the pointed gable (N). Above the gate is an ornamental wrought-iron lantern. Built in red facing brick, alternated by bands of sandstone of varying widths. Shoulder pieces of sandstone, provided with floral motifs in relief, on either side of the pointed gable. The side facades are blind. The rear facade (S) has a high-set round window.
Valuation
Former maternity lodge from 1892 of the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats of general importance by virtue of its cultural-historical, architectural-historical and typological value.
