Omschrijving
Het GRAFMONUMENT (klasse 1, vak 26, nr. 1) van de tekenaar Albert Hahn (overleden in 1918), dateert uit 1919 en bestaat uit een taps toelopend voetstuk met gestileerde lotus, gekroond door een symbolische beeldengroep van man, vrouw, kind en Genius-personificatie boven een opschrift. Het ontwerp is van H. Krop, die de verzinnelijking van de arbeidersbeweging via het arbeidersgezin, voortgestuwd door de Genius weergaf. Het geheel is vervaardigd in twee soorten kalksteen.
Waardering
Grafmonument voor de nationaal bekende tekenaar Albert Hahn uit 1919, behorend tot de Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats en als zodanig van algemeen belang wegens cultuur-, kunst-, sociaal-, en funerair-historische waarde. Tevens van belang in het oeuvre van beeldhouwer Hildo Krop.

Description
The GRAVE MONUMENT (class 1, section 26, no. 1) of the draughtsman Albert Hahn (died in 1918), dates from 1919 and consists of a tapered plinth with stylised lotus, crowned by a symbolic sculptural group of man, woman, child and Genius personification above an inscription. The design is by H. Krop, who depicted the embodiment of the labour movement through the working-class family, propelled by the Genius. The whole is made in two types of limestone.
Valuation
Grave monument for the nationally known draughtsman Albert Hahn from 1919, belonging to the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats and as such of general interest on account of cultural, artistic, social and funerary-historical value. Also of significance in the oeuvre of sculptor Hildo Krop.
