Omschrijving
Het GRAFMONUMENT (klasse 3, vak 17, nr. 245) van Susanna Nanette Tartaud bevat een marmeren sculptuur van (1889-1905) een treurende vrouw gekleed in klassiek gewaad en rustend op een urn met krans; zij heeft daarbij een bos bloemen los in de hand. De sokkel is geïnspireerd op een antieke sarcofaag. Op een aparte marmeren plaat een inscriptie.
Waardering
Klassiek geïnspireerd grafmonument uit 1905, behorend tot de Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats en als zodanig van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en funerair-historische waarde.

The GRAVE MONUMENT (class 3, section 17, no. 245) of Susanna Nanette Tartaud contains a marble sculpture from (1889-1905) of a mourning woman dressed in classical robes and resting on an urn with wreath; she holds a bunch of flowers loosely in her hand. The base is inspired by an antique sarcophagus. On a separate marble plaque an inscription.

Classically inspired grave monument from 1905, belonging to the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats and as such of general importance due to cultural and funerary-historical value.
