Omschrijving
In oorsprong in 1867 opgericht GRAFMONUMENT (klasse 2, vak 6, nr.16) van mevrouw S.N. Sablairolles (1829-1867), destijds een vermaard zangeres, in 1901 overgebracht van de Oude Oosterbegraafplaats. Het monument heeft de vorm van een afgebroken zuil op een hardstenen zerk, geplaatst binnen een smeedijzeren hekwerk. De zuil en het reliëf van een geknakte roos op het basement symboliseren het plotseling afgebroken leven en zijn bekende doodssymbolen. Het grafteken werd gemaakt door J.D.J. Teixeira de Mattos & Zoon te Amsterdam.
Waardering

Description
Originally established in 1867, GRAVE MONUMENT (class 2, section 6, no. 16) of Mrs S.N. Sablairolles (1829-1867), at that time a renowned singer, transferred in 1901 from the Oude Oosterbegraafplaats. The monument takes the form of a broken column on a sandstone gravestone, placed within a wrought-iron railing. The column and the relief of a broken rose on the base symbolise the suddenly interrupted life and are well-known symbols of death. The grave monument was made by J.D.J. Teixeira de Mattos & Zoon in Amsterdam.
Significance
Grave monument from the third quarter of the 19th century, for a renowned singer, belonging to the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats and as such of general importance due to its cultural and funerary-historical value.
