Door A.W. Weissman in eclectisch neo-Hollandse Renaissance ontworpen en rondom vrijstaand LIJKENHUIS van de Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats. Het lijkenhuis is gebouwd in 1892. Verder achter de ingang van de begraafplaats en de doodgraverswoningen gelegen ten NO van de aula. Gebouwd op een T-vormig grondplan met de toegang centraal in korte zijde, met ter weerszijden twee rechthoekramen. Een smallere, driezijdig gesloten aanbouw bevindt zich aan de achterzijde, waar het trappenhuis is ondergebracht. In het voorhuis bevond zich een schouwkamer voor de dokter om de "doodsschouw" te verrichten. Verder waren er vijf cellen om de lijken van drenkelingen in op te slaan, zoals zichtbaar in de zijgevels, waar vijf getoogde bovenramen zijn gesitueerd. De dokterskamer lag aan de andere zijde, waar zich drie grote schuiframen bevinden. A cornice-topped facade MORTUARY CHAPEL of the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats, designed by A.W. Weissman in eclectic neo-Dutch Renaissance style and standing freely on all sides. The mortuary chapel was built in 1892. Located further back beyond the entrance of the cemetery and the gravediggers' dwellings to the NE of the hall. Built on a T-shaped floor plan with the entrance centrally positioned in the short side, with two rectangular windows on either side. A narrower, three-sided enclosed extension is located at the rear, where the staircase is housed. In the front section was a viewing room for the doctor to perform the "death inspection". Furthermore there were five cells for storing the bodies of the drowned, as visible in the side elevations, where five arched fanglights are situated.
