Omschrijving
Het DIRECTIEGEBOUW uit 1907-1913 bestaat uit een gespiegelde dubbelvilla in rationalistische trant op vrijwel rechthoekige plattegrond met ronde erkers aan de voorzijde (zuidwest) en ingangen onder kleine luifel in de zijgevels. Boven de erkers bevinden zich balkons. De symmetrisch opgezette dubbelvilla heeft twee bouwlagen en een kapverdieping onder samenstel van schild- en zadeldaken met rode pannen gedekt en met schoorstenen en terracotta pirons. Kleine dakkapellen onder segmentboogvormige beëindiging. Gevels gemetseld in roodbruine baksteen en met decoratief gebruik van natuursteen bij entrees en balkons. De beide hoofdtoegangen bevinden zich onder een luifel aan de voorzijde van het gebouw. De toegangen bevinden zich in een middenrisaliet met twee geschakelde topgevels. De gehele voorgevel is vier traveeën breed. De vensters op de verdieping aan de voorzijde zijn zesruits geleed.

Description
The DIRECTORS' BUILDING from 1907-1913 consists of a mirrored semi-detached villa in rationalist style on an almost rectangular plan with round oriels at the front elevation (southwest) and entrances under small canopy in the side elevations. Above the oriels are situated balconies. The symmetrically arranged semi-detached villa has two storeys and a roof attic under a combination of hipped and gabled roofs covered with red tiles and with chimney stacks and terracotta Picardy tiles. Small roof dormers under segmental arch termination. Elevations laid in reddish-brown brick and with decorative use of natural stone at entrances and balconies. The two main entrances are situated under a canopy at the front of the building. The entrances are located in a central risalit with two stepped gables. The entire front elevation is four bays wide. The windows on the storey at the front are six-pane glazed.
Valuation
As a semi-detached villa directors' building constructed in the period 1907-1913 in rationalist style of general significance due to its architectural-historical and typological value and as a historical-functional component of the Zuidergasfabriek complex.
