Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 4: PARKAANLEG.
De parkaanleg bestaat uit a. oprijlaan en doorzicht; b. oude oprijlaan; c. bos; d. binnentuin met doorzicht over de Sleijbeek; e. overige delen van de aanleg.
Ad a.: de oprijlaan begint aan de Nieuwstraat en loopt in zuidelijke richting naar de dam over de gracht; de poort van de remise fungeert als point-de-vue van de laan; ter weerszijden van de laan met puinverharding staat een enkele rij oude lindebomen; de laan is aangelegd in de tweede helft van de 18de eeuw. Tussen deze oprijlaan en het bos (ad c) het uit de formele aanlegperiode daterende doorzicht bestaande uit een rechhoekige open ruimte, gelegen op de as van de voorzijde van het huis in de richting van de Nieuwstraat.
Ad b.: de oude oprijlaan (XVII-XVIII) liep vanuit het dorp Heel tot aan de al genoemde dam, parallel aan de noordzijde van de gracht; dit tracé is reeds lang buiten gebruik; er rest nog een aantal oude eiken, die nu in een weiland staan en die duidelijk dit oude laangedeelte markeren. De laan liep naar het oosten verder naar de weg langs de boerderij de Pannenhof; ook hier nog een enkele rij oude eiken; dit tracé is nog in gebruik, voornamelijk voor agrarisch verkeer; het is een zandweg met puin in twee rijsporen.
Ad c.: in het noordoosten van het complexgebied ligt een oud bosperceel tussen de Nieuwstraat en het oostelijk deel van de oude oprijlaan; veel oud opgaand loofhout, met name eik en beuk; vaag is nog een wandelpad herkenbaar.
Ad d.: dit is de tuin bij het hoofdgebouw in de noordoosthoek van het omgrachte terrein; de tuin heeft een recente aanleg met een gazon waaromheen borders met vaste planten en heesters; op het talud langs de gracht staan rhododendrons. Vroeger was dit relatief kleine terrein waarschijnlijk meer in gebruik als moestuin met enkele fruitbomen; er staat nog een zeer indrukwekkende oude perelaar. Aan de achterzijde van het huis, in zuidelijke richting, is er vanouds een doorzicht over de Sleijbeek op het door notenbomen en heesters omzoomd weiland ten zuiden hiervan (onderdeel en zuidgrens van het beschermde park) en verder op de Maasvallei. Tussen de achterzijde van het huis en de Sleijbeek ligt een ruigteperceel, waarop in de jaren 50 van de 20ste eeuw populieren werden geplant. Deze zijn kort na 2000 gekapt. Door de daaropvolgende heesterbeplanting is het doorzicht naar de Maasvallei niet meer volledig. Op het lage dijkje langs de gracht aan de achterzijde van het huis staan 7 oude eiken, gedeeltelijk hoog opgesnoeid vanwege het uitzicht.
Ad e.: direct ten oosten van het omgrachte terrein en ten zuiden van het bos is een grote open ruimte (akkerland), dat aan de oostkant begrensd wordt door een rechte rij eiken (aan deze zijde de grensmarkering van het beschermde parkgedeelte).
Waardering
De PARKAANLEG is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- als wezenlijk cultuurhistorisch onderdeel van het complex;
- vanwege de visueel-landschappelijke waarden;
- vanwege de gaaf bewaarde structuur.

Description of component 4: PARK LAYOUT.
The park layout consists of a. approach drive and vista; b. old approach drive; c. woodland; d. inner garden with vista over the Sleijbeek; e. other parts of the layout.
Re a.: the approach drive begins at the Nieuwstraat and runs in a southerly direction towards the dam across the moat; the gate of the carriage house serves as the point-de-vue of the drive; on either side of the drive with gravel surfacing stands a single row of old linden trees; the drive was laid out in the second half of the 18th century. Between this approach drive and the woodland (re c) the vista dating from the formal layout period consisting of a rectangular open space, situated on the axis of the front of the house in the direction of the Nieuwstraat.
Re b.: the old approach drive (17th-18th century) ran from the village of Heel to the aforementioned dam, parallel to the north side of the moat; this route has been out of use for a long time; there remain a number of old oaks, which now stand in a meadow and which clearly mark this old drive section. The drive continued eastward along the road past the farm de Pannenhof; here too a single row of old oaks; this route is still in use, mainly for agricultural traffic; it is a sand road with gravel in two wheel ruts.
Re c.: in the northeast of the complex area lies an old woodland plot between the Nieuwstraat and the eastern part of the old approach drive; much old deciduous timber, notably oak and beech; a walking path is still faintly discernible.
Re d.: this is the garden by the main building in the northeast corner of the moated terrain; the garden has a recent layout with a lawn surrounded by borders with perennials and shrubs; on the slope along the moat stand rhododendrons. Formerly this relatively small area was probably used more as a kitchen garden with a few fruit trees; there still stands a most impressive old pear tree. At the rear of the house, in a southerly direction, there has long been a vista over the Sleijbeek onto the meadow fringed with walnut trees and shrubs to the south of this (component and southern boundary of the protected park) and further onto the Meuse valley. Between the rear of the house and the Sleijbeek lies a rough ground plot, on which in the 1950s poplars were planted. These were felled shortly after 2000. Through the subsequent shrub planting the vista towards the Meuse valley is no longer complete. On the low embankment along the moat at the rear of the house stand 7 old oaks, partially pruned high for the sake of the view.
Re e.: directly to the east of the moated terrain and to the south of the woodland is a large open space (arable land), bounded on the east side by a straight row of oaks (on this side the boundary marking of the protected park section).

The PARK LAYOUT is of general cultural-historical significance:
- by reason of its age;
- as an essential cultural-historical component of the complex;
- by reason of its visual-landscape values;
- by reason of its well-preserved structure.
