Omschrijving onderdeel 2: Vlaamse schuur.
Inleiding
Evenwijdig aan de boerderij uit 1695 - circa 1900 staat een VLAAMSE SCHUUR die dateert uit XIXA en voornamelijk uit hout is opgetrokken in ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant met streekeigen kenmerken.
Omschrijving
De goed bewaarde Vlaamse schuur op rechthoekige plattegrond heeft buitengewoon forse afmetingen. Zij bestaat uit een zevental asymmetrische eiken gebintparen die gehakte telmerken vertonen. Zoals bij een Vlaamse schuur gebruikelijk, is de dekbalk aan een zijde opgelegd en overstekend, maar aan de andere zijde als ankerbalk uitgevoerd. Daarop staan driehoeksspanten uit gekantrecht eikenhout met spruitbalk. De gezaagde sporen zijn vernieuwd. Het rieten schilddak is opgelicht ten behoeve van de dubbele opgeklampte deeldeuren in de korte gevels. De wanden zijn gepotdekseld, geteerd en voorzien van houten ventilatieschuiven. In de schuur zijn behalve een langsdeel en hooizolder waaronder varkenshokken tevens een afzonderlijke graanschuur, wagenschuur en paardenstal ondergebracht. De wagenschuur is als enige voorzien van gemetselde muren en toegankelijk via een grote dubbele deur uit diagonaal verwerkte delen in de lange zijde tegenover het woonhuis. De deur is voorzien van een liggend tienruits bovenlicht. Oorspronkelijke gesmede gehengen. Rechts daarnaast de paardenstal met dichte deur en lunetvormig bovenlicht. Het geheel ligt inpandig onder een ruime overstek.
Waardering
De Vlaamse schuur uit XIXA is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de ontwikkeling van dit voor West-Brabant zo kenmerkende boerenschuurtype. De schuur is van architectuurhistorisch en bouwhistorisch belang vanwege de gaaf bewaard gebleven, buitengewoon forse eiken constructie, de harmonische verhoudingen en de ambachtelijk toegepaste traditionele bouwmaterialen. Er is sprake van ensemblewaarde vanwege de combinatie van de Vlaamse schuur met een historische boerderij in een agrarisch, parkachtig landschap met hoog opgaand geboomte in de onmiddellijke nabijheid van een groot herenhuis.

Introduction
Parallel to the farmhouse from 1695 - circa 1900 stands a FLEMISH BARN dating from the 19th century and constructed predominantly of wood in artisanal-traditional building style with regional characteristics.
Description
The well-preserved Flemish barn on a rectangular ground plan has exceptionally substantial dimensions. It consists of seven asymmetrical oak roof truss pairs which display hacked carpenters' marks. As is customary in a Flemish barn, the tie beam is laid and projecting on one side, but executed as an anchor beam on the other side. Upon it stand triangular roof trusses of dressed oak timber with a sprocket beam. The sawn purlins have been renewed. The thatched hipped roof has been raised to accommodate the double clamped split doors in the short gables. The walls are daubed with clay, tarred and provided with wooden ventilation shutters. In the barn, besides a lengthways section and a hay loft underneath which are pigsties, there are also housed a separate grain store, cart shed and horse stable. The cart shed is the only one provided with masonry walls and is accessible via a large double door made of diagonally arranged timbers in the long side opposite the dwelling house. The door is provided with a horizontal ten-paned fanlight. Original wrought iron hinges. To the right of this the horse stable with a solid door and a lunette-shaped fanlight. The whole is internally positioned beneath a spacious overhang.
Valuation
The Flemish barn from the 19th century is of general importance. It possesses cultural-historical value as an example of the development of this barn type so characteristic of West-Brabant. The barn is of architectural-historical and construction-historical significance because of the well-preserved, exceptionally substantial oak structure, the harmonious proportions and the artisanally applied traditional building materials. There is ensemble value due to the combination of the Flemish barn with a historic farmhouse in an agricultural, park-like landscape with tall timber in the immediate vicinity of a large manor house.
