Omschrijving onderdeel 3: karschop.
Inleiding
Op het erf achter de langgevelboerderij een KARSCHOP. De karschop is in ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl grotendeels uit hout en riet opgetrokken en draagt streekeigen kenmerken. Datering XVIIIB of XIXA. De karschop is in gebruik als gastenverblijf.
Omschrijving
Deels gepotdekselde en geteerde karschop met rieten schilddak. Eén zijmuur en de plint rondom zijn opgetrokken uit grijs/zwarte en rode baksteen. Binnen staan drie eiken ankerbalkgebinten met eenvoudige spanten.
Waardering
De karschop is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een karschop bij een langgevelboerderij. Het object is van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de samenhang tussen in- en exterieur; vanwege de harmonische verhoudingen en ambachtelijk toegepaste traditionele materialen en vormen. Door de ligging van de karschop bij de langgevelboerderij en een Vlaamse schuur aan een oude verkeersas vertegenwoordigt de karschop bovendien een duidelijke ensemblewaarde en markeert zij mede de oude bewoningskern van Oosteind.

Introduction
On the farmyard behind the long-façade farmhouse a CART-SHED. The cart-shed is constructed largely from timber and thatch in a craftsman-traditional style and bears regional characteristics. Dating second half of the 18th century or first half of the 19th century. The cart-shed is in use as guest accommodation.
Description
Partly pargeted and tarred cart-shed with thatched hipped roof. One side wall and the plinth all around are constructed from grey/black and red brick. Inside there are three oak anchor-beam frames with simple roof trusses.
Valuation
The cart-shed is of general interest. It has cultural-historical value as an example of a cart-shed at a long-façade farmhouse. The object is of architectural-historical value because of the coherence between interior and exterior; because of the harmonious proportions and craftsman-applied traditional materials and forms. Due to the location of the cart-shed at the long-façade farmhouse and a Flemish barn on an old traffic axis the cart-shed moreover represents a clear ensemble value and also marks the old residential core of Oosteind.
