Omschrijving van onderdeel 4: BOUWHUIS (rechts).
Reeds vanaf de eerste aanleg (ca. 1300) hebben er aan weerszijden van de poort bouwhuizen gestaan. Deze waren oorspronkelijk kleiner. Het huidige bouwhuis maakt in hoofdzaak een 17de-eeuwse indruk en is een vervanging van het oudere, mogelijk met gebruikmaking van oude restanten b.v. fundamenten. Het bouwhuis bestaat uit één bouwlaag met een met pannen gedekt zadeldak tussen topgevels. Het heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en staat met de linker gevel tegen het oude poorthuis aan. Oorspronkelijk was het linker deel in gebruik als woonhuis en het rechter deel als stal. Tegenwoordig is het geheel als woning in gebruik. De oude situatie is nog afleesbaar aan de indeling van de gevels met vensters en deuren alhoewel een nieuwe deurpartij (na 1967 aangebracht) het oorspronkelijk op enkele kleine vensters na gesloten gevelvlak van het stalgedeelte heeft verstoord. De voorgevel heeft ter linker zijde de voordeur met rechts daarvan twee roede verdeelde schuiframen met luiken. Hierboven drie kleine draairamen t.b.v. een pseudo verdieping. Rechts zoals gezegd de nieuwe vensterpartij en een tweetal laag geplaatste kleine stalvensters. De rechter zijgevel vertoont een symmetrische indeling van een stalgevel met een dubbele inrijdeur, een klein venster aan weerszijden, een rechthoekig en een rond venster boven de staldeur in de top en een 17de-eeuws sieranker in de top. De linker zijgevel is blind. De achtergevel heeft een onregelmatige indeling met een deur en enkele vensters. Op het dak een schoorsteen maar aan de voorzijde geen dakkapellen.
Waardering
Het rechter BOUWHUIS is van algemeen belang:

Description
Description of component 4: FARM BUILDING (right).
Since the original layout (circa 1300) there have been farm buildings on either side of the gate. These were originally smaller. The current farm building is essentially 17th-century in appearance and is a replacement of the older one, possibly using old remains, such as foundations. The farm building consists of one storey with a gabled roof (saddle roof) covered with tiles between stepped gables. It has a rectangular floor plan and stands with its left gable against the old gate house. Originally the left part was used as a dwelling and the right part as a stable. Today the whole is used as a residence. The original situation can still be read in the arrangement of the façades with windows and doors although a new window opening (installed after 1967) has disturbed the originally largely closed façade surface of the stable section except for a few small windows. The front façade has the front door on the left side with two glazing-bar sash windows with shutters to the right of it. Above these three small casement windows for a pseudo storey. To the right, as mentioned, the new window opening and a pair of small stable windows placed low. The right side gable displays a symmetrical arrangement of a stable gable with a double entrance door, a small window on each side, a rectangular and a round window above the stable door in the apex and a 17th-century ornamental wall anchor in the apex. The left side gable is blind. The rear façade has an irregular arrangement with a door and some windows. On the roof a chimney but no roof dormers on the front.
