Omschrijving onderdeel 4: (Bij Schellerbergweg 18 en 18A)
DIERENVERBLIJF (ook wel aangeduid als hondenhok, fazanterie, hoenderhok of volière) op de historische buitenplaats Schellerberg, omstreeks 1850 ontworpen in de Chalet-stijl. Het dierenverblijf is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder twee overstekende zadeldaken die elkaar op ongelijke niveaus kruisen. De gevels zijn gemetseld in rode baksteen, de daken gedekt met zinken leitjes en voorzien van sierspanten, trekbalken en makelaars. In de voorgevel risaleert de middenpartij onder het hoogste zadeldak. De hoeken van de gevels en het risaliet zijn voorzien van verspringende bloklisenen in zandsteen, in de achtergevel bevindt zich een deur en in het bovenste deel van de gevels zijn ronde vensters aangebracht, waaronder enkele tuimelramen; op de begane grond twee rondboogvormige gevelopeningen. Op de voorgevel sluit een stuk grond aan dat is afgezet door een hoog smeedijzeren hek. Het afgezette stuk grond is door het hek in tweeën gedeeld. De achtergevel is blind.

ANIMAL SHELTER (also referred to as a dog kennel, pheasantry, poultry house or aviary) on the historic country estate Schellerberg, designed around 1850 in the Chalet style. The animal shelter is built on a rectangular ground plan under two overhanging gabled roofs that intersect at unequal levels. The facades are built in red brick, the roofs covered with zinc slates and provided with ornamental roof trusses, tie beams and brackets. In the front facade the central section projects under the highest gabled roof. The corners of the facades and the projection are provided with stepped stone lintels in sandstone; in the rear facade is a door and in the upper part of the facades round windows have been installed, including some reversible windows; on the ground floor two round-arched facade openings. A plot of land adjoins the front facade which is enclosed by a high wrought-iron fence. The enclosed plot of land is divided in two by the fence. The rear facade is blank.
