Aan de Oude Rijn staande turf- en kolenLOODS behorende bij Nieuw Werklust Kleiwarenfabriek vermoedelijk 19de-eeuws gebouwd in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke stijl.
Omschrijving
Forse rechthoekige LOODS is grotendeels opgetrokken van hout met groen geschilderde wanden (deels van kraaldelen) onder een met rode Tuile du Nord pannen gedekt mansardedak met witgeschilderde windveren en boeiborden. Bij de rechterzijgevel is het hout vervangen door kalkzandsteen (van latere datum). De bakstenen achtergevel is waarschijnlijk hergebruikt van een ouder gebouw, zie bouwsporen (drie ronde openingen en een dichtgezet venster). De linkerzijgevel heeft een lattenconstructie met smalle tussenopeningen voor de ventilatie. In de noordelijke gevel zijn rechtgesloten deuren en luiken geplaatst. Inwendig een vanaf de grond beginnende kapconstructie met gebogen spanten.
Waardering
De loods is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde: - als onderdeel van de laatste nog in gebruik zijnde kleiwarenfabriek aan de Rijndijk; - wegens de functie; - wegens de monumentale kapconstructie; - wegens de ensemble- en stedenbouwkundige waarde voortkomend uit de ruimtelijke en functionele verbondenheid met het beeldbepalend gesitueerde fabriekscomplex.

Turf and coal SHED standing on the Oude Rijn belonging to Nieuw Werklust Clayware Factory presumed built in the 19th century in Traditional Artisanal style.
Description
Robust rectangular SHED is largely constructed of wood with green painted walls (partly of beaded timber) under a mansard roof covered with red Tuile du Nord tiles with white-painted wind vanes and barge boards. At the right side gable the wood has been replaced by lime-sand stone (of later date). The brick rear gable is probably reused from an older building, see building traces (three round openings and a sealed window). The left side gable has a lath construction with narrow gaps between for ventilation. In the northern gable are flush doors and shutters placed. Internally a roof truss structure beginning from the ground with curved rafters.
Valuation
The shed is of general importance because of its cultural-historical value: - as part of the last still operational clayware factory on the Rijndijk; - because of its function; - because of the monumental roof truss structure; - because of the ensemble and urban-planning value resulting from the spatial and functional connection with the visually defining situated factory complex.
