Inleiding complexonderdeel 4
Voor onder andere het maken van potten voor schoorstenen opgetrokken LOODS, de zogenoemde 'pottery', behorende bij Nieuw Werklust Kleiwarenfabriek vermoedelijk gebouwd in de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw in Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwstijl. In 1947 is aan de oostzijde een deel aangekapt, dat voor de beschermding van ondergeschikt belang is.
Omschrijving
LOODS vanaf een T -vormige plattegrond over een bouwlaag opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een met gesmoorde Tuile du Nordpannen gedekt mansardedak. De iets uitkragende daklijst wordt gedragen door klossen. Het korte dwarsdeel is later verhoogd en van een ander dak voorzien.
In de westelijke gevel, grenzend aan het toegangspad, zijn tien negenruitsvensters met drielicht bovenlichten onder natuurstenen lateien geplaatst. Daarboven onder de dakrand bevinden zich kleine vensters. In de kopse gevel zijn ter plaatse van de zolderverdieping twee vensters geplaatst onder doorlopende natuurstenen lateien. Onder de vensters een verdiept veld met daarin de naam van de fabriek "Nieuw Werklust b.v.".
Waardering
De loods is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorischewaarde: - als onderdeel van de laatste nog in gebruik zijnde kleiwarenfabriek aan de Rijndijk; - wegens de beeldbepalende ligging aan het toegangspad; - wegens de traditioneel-ambachtelijke vormgeving; - wegens de ensemble- en stedenbouwkundige waarde voortkomend uit de ruimtelijke en functionele verbondenheid met het beeldbepalend gesitueerde fabriekscomplex.

SHED built among other things for the production of pots for chimneys, the so-called 'pottery', belonging to Nieuw Werklust Clay Products Factory presumed to have been built in the second half of the 19th century in Traditional Craft building style. In 1947 a section was added to the east side, which is of subordinate importance for the preservation.
Description
SHED from a T-shaped ground plan erected over one storey in red brick under a mansard roof covered with damped Tuile du Nord tiles. The slightly projecting eaves are carried by corbels. The short transverse section was later heightened and provided with different roofing.
In the western façade, adjoining the access path, ten nine-pane windows with three-light fanlights are placed under natural stone lintels. Above these under the eaves edge small windows are located. In the gable façade windows are placed at the location of the attic storey under continuous natural stone lintels. Below the windows a recessed panel in which the factory name "Nieuw Werklust b.v." is placed.
Valuation
The shed is of general interest because of its cultural- and architectural-historical value: - as part of the last still operating clay products factory on the Rijndijk; - because of its image-determining location at the access path; - because of the traditional craft design; - because of the ensemble and urban planning value resulting from the spatial and functional connection with the image-determining situated factory complex.
