Inleiding complexonderdeel 3
SCHAFTLOKAAL EN OPSLAGGEBOUW behorende bij Nieuw Werklust Kleiwarenfabriek gebouwd in 1943 en 1936 in de Traditioneel Ambachtelijke bouwstijl. In het opslaggebouw waren oorsponkelijk enkele dienstwoningen ondergebracht, vervolgens gebruikt voor de berging van gebakken dakpannen.
Omschrijving
Het aan de weg staande bakstenen schaftlokaal bestaat uit twee bouwlagen in Noors kettingverband onder een met gesmoorde, opnieuw verbeterde Hollandse pan gedekt zadeldak. Gevelindeling met stalen vensters.
Aanluitend een smal en langgerekt, eenlagig opslaggebouw opgetrokken in deels gepleisterde rode baksteen onder een met gesmoorde Tuile du Nord pannen gedekt zadeldak waarin met rode pannen de naam "Nieuw Werklust". In de frontgevel (oost) zijn in het gepleisterde deel zes rechtgesloten houten deuren geplaatst afgewisseld door twee drielicht vensters.
Waardering
Het opslag gebouw is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde: - als onderdeel van de laatste nog in gebruik zijnde kleiwarenfabriek aan de Rijndijk. - wegens de ensemble- en stedenbouwkundige waarde voortkomend uit de ruimtelijke en functionele verbondenheid met het beeldbepalend gesitueerde fabriekscomplex.

SHAFT ROOM AND STORAGE BUILDING belonging to Nieuw Werklust Clay Products Factory built in 1943 and 1936 in the Traditional Craft building style. In the storage building originally several service dwellings were housed, subsequently used for storage of fired roof tiles.
Description
The brick shaft room facing the road consists of two storeys in Norwegian chain bond under a gabled roof covered with damped, newly improved Dutch tiles. Façade division with steel windows.
Adjoining a narrow and elongated, single-storey storage building erected in partly rendered red brick under a gabled roof covered with damped Tuile du Nord tiles in which the name "Nieuw Werklust" is rendered in red tiles. In the front façade (east) in the rendered part six fixed wooden doors are placed alternated by two three-light windows.
Valuation
The storage building is of general interest because of its cultural-historical value: - as part of the last still operating clay products factory on the Rijndijk. - because of the ensemble and urban planning value resulting from the spatial and functional connection with the image-determining situated factory complex.
