Inleiding
Het landgoed De Hoevens werd in 1918 aangekocht door de gebroeders Blomjous uit Tilburg. Aan de weg richting het hoofdgebouw (onderdeel I) bevindt zich een omstreeks 2001 gerestaureerde Vlaamse SCHUUR, in de grond wellicht vijftiende-eeuws maar in de huidige vorm jonger.
Omschrijving
Vierbeukige Vlaamse schuur onder met riet gedekt wolfsdak. Inwendig eiken gebintconstructie van waarschijnlijk gedeeltelijk hergebruikt materiaal, een combinatie van dek- en ankerbalkconstructie in de vorm van een (zeldzaam) etagegebint.
Waardering
De schuur op het landgoed De Hoevens is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als specimen van de ontwikkeling van de agrarische geschiedenis van Brabant vanaf de vroege middeleeuwen tot in de vroege twintigste eeuw; het is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de Vlaamse schuur. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de bouwgeschiedenis, vooral vanwege het gebint. Het heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de samenhang tussen bebouwing en cultuurlandschap.

Introduction
The estate De Hoevens was purchased in 1918 by the Blomjous brothers from Tilburg. On the road towards the main building (component I) there is a Flemish BARN restored around 2001, in foundation perhaps fifteenth-century but in its present form younger.
Description
Four-aisle Flemish barn under half-hipped roof covered with reed. Inside oak roof truss structure of presumably partially reused material, a combination of collar-beam and tie-beam construction in the form of a (rare) storey truss.
Valuation
The barn on the estate De Hoevens is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical value as a specimen of the development of the agricultural history of Brabant from the early Middle Ages to the early twentieth century; it is also of importance as an example of the typological development of the Flemish barn. It has architectural-historical value because of the construction history, particularly because of the roof truss structure. It has ensemble value because of the coherence between buildings and cultural landscape.
