Inleiding
Het TRANSFORMATORHUISJE met elementen van het Nieuwe Bouwen van omstreeks 1937 bevindt zich aan de westzijde van het terrein, langs de Hoevense Kanaaldijk.
Omschrijving
Het transformatorhuisje is op vierkant grondplan gebouwd en opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen. Het licht hellende schilddak is belegd met koperplaat. Een luchtkoker onder licht hellend schilddak belegd met koperplaat steekt uit het midden omhoog. De dakrand bestaat uit een ver uitstekende bakgoot. In de zuidgevel is een enkele deur aangebracht en in de oostgevel een tweetal verhoogde rechtgesloten vensters met geblindeerde ramen. De raamdorpels zijn van hardsteen.
Waardering
Het transformatorhuisje is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van het type transformatorgebouw. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als uitdruking van het Nieuwe Bouwen. Het is nog gaaf en herkenbaar bewaard gebleven en qua bouwstijl vormt het een eenheid met de andere voorgedragen objecten.

The TRANSFORMER HOUSE with elements of the New Building style from around 1937 is located on the west side of the site, along the Hoevense Canal Dike.
Description
The transformer house is built on a square floor plan and constructed in machine-made brickwork. The gently sloping hipped roof is covered with copper plate. An air duct under gently sloping hipped roof covered with copper plate projects upward from the centre. The eaves edge consists of a far projecting brick gutter. In the south facade a single door is installed and in the east facade two raised fixed sash windows with blind sashes. The window sills are of hardstone.
Valuation
The transformer house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a distinctive expression of the transformer building type. It has architectural-historical value as an expression of the New Building style. It has been preserved intact and recognisable and in terms of building style forms a unity with the other proposed objects.
