Inleiding.
De GRAFTOMBE voor mevrouw Van der Heyden uit 1870 is uitgevoerd in Neogotische stijl.
Omschrijving.
Het is een dubbel graf met omheining door hardstenen paaltjes met kettingen. In de brede ruimte staat een graf bestaande uit een tombe met opstand, uitgevoerd in hardsteen met marmeren plaquette op de schuine dekplaat en bovendeel van de opstand. De breedte hiervan is 1.10 en de hoogte 2.73. Voor de tombe is een hardstenen knielbankje opgesteld. De opstand heeft een Moorgotische decoratie in de boogvorm, de zijpilaartjes en de driehoekige piëdestal van het kruis. In de boogvorm is de tekst: "Ter nagedachtenis van vrouwe Antonia Huberta van der Heyden geb. Mensing 1836 overleden 1870 en hare kinderen. Aloysius van Hasselt" aangebracht.
Waardering.
De graftombe is van algemeen belang. It is a double grave with railing by hardstone bollards with chains. In the broad space stands a grave consisting of a tomb with superstructure, executed in hardstone with marble plaque on the slanted coping stone and upper part of the superstructure. The width thereof is 1.10 and the height 2.73. In front of the tomb a hardstone kneeling bench is set up. The superstructure has Moorish-gothic decoration in the arched form, the side pilasters and the triangular pedestal of the cross. In the arched form is the text: "In remembrance of Lady Antonia Huberta van der Heyden born Mensing 1836 died 1870 and her children. Aloysius van Hasselt" inscribed.
Assessment.
The grave tomb is of general interest. The object has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a social and spiritual development, in particular the development of Catholic grave culture; it is also of importance for the typological development of the grave monument.
