Inleiding.
GRAFTOMBE met Neoclassicistische elementen uit 1890 voor de familie Van den Bogaert-Asselbergs.
Omschrijving.
De graftombe is opgetrokken uit hardsteen en is 1.30 breed, 2.72 lang en 4 meter hoog. Het graf bestaat uit een tombe met een schuine dekplaat, een hardstenen balustrade rondom en een hoge opstand met een kruis. De balustrade is voorzien van ovale openingen en vierkante hoekpilaren met kransen en vazen. Op de wit marmeren dekplaat staan de namen van de overledenen. Dit zijn Lambert F.M. van den Bogaert, 26-6-1855/21-8-1890. Albertina C. van den Bogaert-Asselbergs 17-4-1853/18-8-1921, Alphons A.J.M. van den Bogaert 14-1-1883/6-3-1916. De zich verjongende opstand is voorzien van een marmeren plaquette waarop vermeld staat dat dit het familiegraf van L.F.M. Van den Bogaert-Asselbergs is. Aan weerskanten van de plaquette zijn in de hardsteen afhangende toortsen gehouwen. Hierboven een wit marmeren krans met rozen, waarin staat: "Aan onzen echtgenoot en vader". Links en rechts een marmeren vaas met vlam. Hieronder een marmeren plaquette waarop twee handen die elkaar, geketend in de wolken, vasthouden. De opstand is voorts voorzien van een gebroken fronton met eikenbladmotieven en een met stenen wingerd omkranst boomstamkruis.
Waardering.
De graftombe is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument. Het heeft kunsthistorisch belang als voorbeeld van een Neoclassicistisch familiegraf. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

The grave tomb is constructed of hardstone and is 1.30 wide, 2.72 long and 4 metres high. The grave consists of a tomb with a slanted coping stone, a hardstone balustrade all around and a high superstructure with a cross. The balustrade is provided with oval openings and square corner pillars with wreaths and vases. On the white marble coping stone stand the names of the deceased. These are Lambert F.M. van den Bogaert, 26-6-1855/21-8-1890. Albertina C. van den Bogaert-Asselbergs 17-4-1853/18-8-1921, Alphons A.J.M. van den Bogaert 14-1-1883/6-3-1916. The diminishing superstructure is provided with a marble plaque on which it is stated that this is the family grave of L.F.M. Van den Bogaert-Asselbergs.
