Inleiding.
Vroeg 20ste eeuwse SCHUUR (8) in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele bouwtrant behoort bij de in opdracht van dr. D.T. Ruys tot stand gekomen buitenplaats. De schuur staat ten oosten van het hoofdhuis in het landschappelijke park.
Omschrijving.
Vrijstaand éénlaagse bouwmassa op rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde Tuiles-du-Nord, waarvan de nokrichting in noordoost/zuidwestelijke richting is georiënteerd. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen (halfsteensverband) met rollagen boven de rechtgesloten deuren en vensters. De roedenverdeelde vensters hebben bakstenen lekdorpels. De beide kopgevels (noordoost, zuidwest) zijn verlevendigd door de met decoratief zaagwerk uitgevoerde windveren. De symmetrisch ingedeelde zuidwestelijke kopgevel heeft op de begane grond aan weerszijden van de middenas een zesruits raam en op de zolder in het midden een smal venster. In de noordwestelijke kopgevel zijn symmetrisch over de gevel twee tweedelige houten paneeldeuren geplaatst. De noordoostelijke kopgevel heeft op de verdieping een openslaand tweeruits raam. De zuidoostelijke langsgevel is blind.
Waardering.
De vroeg 20ste eeuwse schuur is van algemeen belang als vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde en als historisch en functioneel onderdeel van de buitenplaats.
De schuur is vrij gaaf wat betreft hoofdvorm. Materiaalgebruik en detaillering.

Early 20th century BARN (8) in Artisanal-Traditional building style belonging to the country estate created by commission of Dr. D.T. Ruys. The barn stands to the east of the main house in the landscaped park.
Description.
Detached single-storey building mass on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof with suppressed Tuiles-du-Nord, with the ridge direction oriented northeast/southwest. The facades are constructed in red brick (half-brick bond) with roll courses above the right-angled doors and windows. The glazed windows have brick drip moulds. Both gable ends (northeast, southwest) are enlivened by decorative fretwork wind braces. The symmetrically arranged southwest gable end has on the ground floor on either side of the central axis a six-light window and on the attic in the middle a narrow window. In the northwest gable end two two-part wooden panel doors are placed symmetrically across the facade. The northeast gable end has on the upper storey an opening two-light window. The southeast long facade is blank.
Valuation.
The early 20th century barn is of general importance as regards cultural-historical value and as a historical and functional component of the country estate.
The barn is relatively intact as regards main form. Material use and detailing.
The barn also has ensemble value through the visual and historical-spatial coherence with the other complex components.
