Inleiding
De KIEMSCHUUR voor aardappelen, behorende bij het complex aan de Schoutsweg 2 in de gemeente Bernisse, is waarschijnlijk gebouwd in het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw. De gevels van de kleine schuur zijn vrijwel geheel van glas. De verdere vormgeving is in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant.
Omschrijving
De kiemschuur is gesitueerd aan de zuidzijde van het erf, ten oosten van de oprit vanaf de Schoutsweg. De schuur heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, met één bouwlaag en een zadeldak met bitumen gedekt. Dit dak is haaks geplaatst op de Schoutsweg en heeft geprofileerde houten windveren bekroond door een kleine makelaar.
De gevels zijn opgebouwd uit houten stijlen waartussen grote glasstroken.
In de symmetrische voorgevel (noordzijde) in het midden een deur met bovenlicht aangebracht. Aan weerszijden bevinden zich twee glasstroken. De symmetrische achtergevel kent een vergelijkbare opbouw.
De linker en rechter zijgevel zijn voorzien van zeven glasstroken.
Waardering
De kiemschuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde.

The POTATO GERMINATION SHED, belonging to the complex at Schoutsweg 2 in the municipality of Bernisse, was probably built in the first quarter of the twentieth century. The facades of the small shed are almost entirely of glass. The further design is in a Craft-traditional building tradition.
Description
The germination shed is situated on the south side of the yard, to the east of the access road from the Schoutsweg. The shed has a rectangular floor plan, with one storey and a gabled roof covered with bitumen. This roof is placed at right angles to the Schoutsweg and has profiled wooden wind braces crowned by a small saddle board.
The facades are constructed from wooden posts between which large glass strips are placed.
In the symmetrical front facade (north side) in the centre a door with fanlight is installed. On either side are two glass strips. The symmetrical rear facade has a similar construction.
