Inleiding
De SIERTUIN, behorende tot het complex aan de Schoutsweg 2 in de gemeente Bernisse, is waarschijnlijk aangelegd niet lang na de verbouwing van het woongedeelte in 1880. De tuin heeft een voor de Boerensiertuinstijl typerende samenstelling van omhaagde bloemen- en gazonperken en wilgen- en fruitbomen. Een verbreding van de sloot is als een vijver in de tuin opgenomen.
Omschrijving
De siertuin is gesitueerd voor het woonhuis aan een verbreding van de sloot aan de Schoutsweg. De sloot heeft een houten beschoeiïng. Een circa één meter hoge haag heeft een U-vorm, lopend van de sloot, voor het woonhuis langs, wederom tot aan de sloot. Het omsluit een gazon met langs de randen enkel bloemenperken. In de zuidwestelijke hoek van de tuin, naast de toerit vanaf de Schoutsweg staat een wilg en voor het linker deel van het woonhuis een fruitboom.

De siertuin is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en en ensemblewaarde.
