Inleiding
De WAGENSCHUUR, behorende bij het complex Schoutsweg 2 te Bernisse, is waarschijnlijk gebouwd in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw. De wagenschuur is een voorbeeld van een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. De schuur heeft niet of nauwelijks wijzigingen ondergaan.
Omschrijving
De wagenschuur is gelegen op het zijerf ten westen van de boerderij, met de nok parallel aan de voorgevel van de boerderij. Het object heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond met één bouwlaag onder een asymmetrisch zadeldak gedekt met rode tuiles du Nord. Het dak, dat met de nok evenwijdig aan de Schoutsweg is geplaatst heeft gesneden windveren, bekroond door een makelaar. De goten zijn voorzien van geprofileerde houten lijsten. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in grauwe baksteen in kruisverband.
In de symmetrische voorgevel (zuidzijde) zijn vijf gelijkvormige dubbele openslaande wagendeuren aangebracht. De gevelopeningen zijn overspannen door helder rode bakstenen of verblendstenen segmentbogen. In de linker wagendeur staan kruisramen. De achtergevel is lager. De asymmetrische linker zijgevel heeft geheel links en in het midden een halfrond venster met radiale roedenverdeling. In de top van de gevel staat een stel openslaande luiken. De rechter zijgevel is asymmetrisch.

De wagenschuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde.

The cart shed is located on the side yard to the west of the farmhouse, with the ridge parallel to the front facade of the farmhouse. The object has a rectangular ground plan with one storey under an asymmetrical gabled roof covered with red Flemish tiles. The roof, which is positioned with the ridge parallel to the Schoutsweg, has cut wind braces, crowned by a collar tie. The gutters are provided with profiled wooden mouldings. The facades are constructed of grey brickwork in header bond.
