Inleiding
De kleine WAGENSCHUUR behorende bij het complex Schoutsweg 2 te Bernisse is waarschijnlijk gebouwd in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw. De wagenschuur is een voorbeeld van een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. De schuur heeft niet of nauwelijks wijzigingen ondergaan, met uitzondering van het aanbrengen van een betonnen latei boven de linker wagendeur.
Omschrijving
De kleine wagenschuur staat in het verlengde van de voorgevel van de grotere wagenschuur, ten westen van deze schuur. Het object grenst aan de Zeedijk. De schuur heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond met één bouwlaag onder een asymmetrisch zadeldak gedekt met rode Hollandse pannen. Het dak, dat met de nok evenwijdig aan de schoutsweg staat heeft goten die zijn voorzien van geprofileerde houten lijsten op klossen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in grauwe baksteen in kruisverband.
In de symmetrische voorgevel (zuidzijde) zijn twee dubbele openslaande wagendeuren geplaatst, waarbij de linker gevelopening een betonnen latei heeft. Naast en tussen deze deuren zijn halfronde vensters aangebracht. De gevelopeningen zijn overspannen door grauwe bakstenen segmentbogen. De achtergevel is blind. De linker en rechter zijgevel zijn voorzien van enkele kleine halfronde vensters.
Waardering
De wagenschuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische, architectuurhistorische en ensemblewaarde.

The small CART SHED belonging to the complex Schoutsweg 2 in Bernisse was probably built in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. The small cart shed stands in line with the front facade of the larger cart shed, to the west of this shed. The object borders on the Zeedijk. The shed has a rectangular floor plan with one storey under an asymmetrical gabled roof covered with red Dutch tiles. The roof, with the ridge parallel to the Schoutsweg, has gutters provided with profiled wooden mouldings on consoles. The facades are constructed in grey brick in cross bond.
In the symmetrical front facade (south side) two double swing-open cart doors are placed, whereby the left facade opening has a concrete lintel. Next to and between these doors semicircular windows are installed. The facade openings are spanned by grey brick segmental arches. The rear facade is blank. The left and right side facades are provided with a few small semicircular windows.
