Inleiding.
GRAFMONUMENT van J.P.F. van der Meulen-Heuvelmans (+ 1907) en H. J. van der Meulen (1850-1915). In 1907 opgericht in Neo-gotische vormen naar een ontwerp van het uit 's-Hertogenbosch afkomstige beeldhouwersatelier M. van Bokhoven en Zn. Het graf is gelegen ten oosten van de bisschopskapel, pal ten zuiden van het familiegraf van De Gruyter in sectie 21-11-01-23.
Omschrijving.
Rechthoekige graftombe met stèle. Liggende hardstenen omlijsting met lage, piramidaal bekroonde, vierkante hoekzuiltjes. De grafplaat met inscripties is iets aflopend en op de hoeken geornamenteerd met bladwerk. Stèle met gestileerde driepasomlijsting en bekroond met een geornamenteerd kruis. In de stèle bevindt zich een witmarmeren inlegplaat met daarop een afbeelding van de wederopgestane Christus met geheven rechterhand en kruisbanier in de linkerhand. De stèle heeft aan de onderzijde het opschrift: "Wie in mij gelooft heeft het eeuwige leven". De signatuur bevindt zich rechtsvoor op de hardstenen omlijsting.
Waardering.
Het grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociale en geestelijke ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling van de katholieke grafcultuur, het is tevens van belang als illustratie van de typologische ontwikkeling van het grafmonument. Het graf is van belang vanwege de plaats die de sculptuur inneemt binnen het oeuvre van de Bossche beeldhouwer M. van Bokhoven.

Description.
Rectangular grave tomb with stele. Recumbent hardstone surround with low, pyramidally crowned, square corner columns. The grave plate with inscriptions slopes slightly and is ornamented at the corners with foliage. Stele with stylised trefoil surround and crowned with an ornamented cross. The stele contains a white marble inlay plate depicting the risen Christ with raised right hand and cross banner in the left hand. The stele bears the inscription at the base: "Whoever believes in me has eternal life". The signature is located at the front right on the hardstone surround.
