Inleiding
Voormalige KWEKERSWONING, behorende tot het complex voormalige "Bloemenkwekerij Uiterweg 207" en gebouwd in 1926 in zakelijk-expressionistische trant naar het ontwerp van ir. J.F. Berghoef (1903 - 1994) in opdracht van W. Keessen A.W. Zn. NB: de serre tussen de kwekerswoning en de grote schuur valt niet onder de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Voormalige kwekerswoning, opgetrokken in rode baksteen op rechthoekige plattegrond met een uitbouw aan de noordoost- en westzijde, bevat één bouwlaag en zolderverdieping onder zadeldak met de noklijn haaks op de weg, bedekt met oranjerode verbeterde Hollandse pannen. De uitbouw aan de oostzijde bevat één bouwlaag onder lessenaarsdak. De uitbouw aan de westzijde bevat één bouwlaag onder steekkap met de noklijn evenwijdig aan de weg.
De kozijnen, vensters en deuren zijn van hout. De horizontale roedenverdeling is nog aanwezig in de vensters aan de zuidzijde, de ruitvormige roedenverdeling bevindt zich nog in de deur aan de zuidzijde van de woning. De houten, buiten de kopgevel doorgetrokken, uitstekende bakgoten rusten op uitstekende houten consoles.
De voorgevel (NW) bevat aan de linkerzijde in een open portiek de toegangsdeur met ijzerwerk voor het kleine zeshoekige venster. De portiek is bereikbaar via twee bakstenen treden en de vloer is bedekt met plavuizen. De noordhoek van de gevel rust op een bakstenen pijler. Aan de rechterzijde bevindt zich een driedelig venster dat zich met nog een raam voortzet in de rechterzijgevel. In de topgevel bevindt zich een dubbel venster in decoratieve omlijsting.
De linker zijgevel (NO) bevat in het midden een topgeveltje met venster onder steekkap. Links daarvan bevindt zich de uitbouw met driedelig venster met horizontale roede onder lessenaarsdak. In de noordwestgevel van de uitbouw is een venster geplaatst. Onder de topgevel en doorlopend naar rechts bevindt zich een driedelig venster, rechts daarvan een enkel venster.
De rechter zijgevel (ZW) bevat in de uitbouw op de begane grond een breed driedelig venster, in de topgevel een enkel venster. In de noordwestgevel van de uitbouw bevindt zich een venster, in de zuidoostgevel een deur.
De achtergevel (ZO) bevat aan de rechterzijde een deur, aan de linkerzijde een driedelig venster dat zich met nog een raam voortzet op de rechterzijgevel. In de topgevel is een driedelig venster geplaatst. Een iets uitstekende laag van donkere baksteen loopt over de gevel boven de kozijnen, behalve aan de voorzijde.

Former NURSERY HOUSE, belonging to the complex of the former "Flower Nursery Uiterweg 207" and built in 1926 in business-expressionist style to the design of J.F. Berghoef (1903 - 1994) on commission of W. Keessen A.W. Zn. N.B.: the greenhouse between the nursery house and the large barn is not included in the protection.
Description
Former nursery house, erected in red brick on a rectangular plan with an extension on the northeastern and western side, comprises one storey and attic storey under a gabled roof with the ridge at right angles to the road, covered with orange-red improved Dutch tiles. The extension on the eastern side comprises one storey under a catslide roof. The extension on the western side comprises one storey under a lean-to roof with the ridge parallel to the road.
The frames, windows and doors are of wood. The horizontal glazing bar division is still present in the windows on the southern side, the diamond-shaped glazing bar division is still found in the door on the southern side of the dwelling. The wooden, extending beyond the gable, projecting gutters rest on projecting wooden consoles.
The front facade (NW) contains on the left side in an open porch the entrance door with ironwork for the small hexagonal window. The porch is accessible via two brick steps and the floor is covered with tiles. The northern corner of the facade rests on a brick pillar. On the right side is a three-part window that continues with another window in the right side facade. In the gable is a double window in decorative surround.
The left side facade (NE) contains in the middle a small gable with window under a lean-to roof. The right side facade (SW) contains in the extension on the ground floor a wide three-part window, in the gable a single window. In the northwestern facade of the extension is a window, in the southeastern facade a door.
The rear facade (SE) contains on the right side a door, on the left side a three-part window that continues with another window on the right side facade. In the gable a three-part window is placed. A slightly projecting band of dark brick runs across the facade above the frames, except on the front side.
Valuation
The former nursery house is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a historically-functional component of the complex "Flower Nursery Uiterweg 207", as a well-preserved example of a (grower's) dwelling from the first half of the 20th century in business-expressionist style and as part of the oeuvre of architect J.F. Berghoef.
