Inleiding
De voormalige pastorie van Griendtsveen werd gebouwd in 1895 naar een ontwerp van architect L. Kooken. De voormalige pastorie werd gebouwd in de stijl van het traditionalisme. De bijgebouwde garage is uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande voormalige pastorie met een L-vormig grondplan. Het pand telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met zadeldaken met betonpannen. Houten bakgoot op klossen. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen met metselwerk in kruisverband.
Gecementeerde plint. Rechthoekige houten vensters en deuren met bovenlichten. Gemetselde speklagen in gele baksteen. Hardstenen dorpelstenen. Vulstukken van deuren en vensters deels rondboogvormig deels segmentboogvormig met decoratief metselwerk in twee kleuren baksteen.
Asymmetrische indeling voorgevel. Linkerdeel voorgevel vooruitspringend en uitlopend in een topgevel met houten beschot op consoles. In de eerste en tweede bouwlaag van dit geveldeel een driedelig venster. In de topgevel een klein rechthoekig venster.
In het linkerdeel van het terugliggend geveldeel de voordeur met driedelig bovenlicht. Aan de rechterzijde van de voordeur en in de tweede bouwlaag rechthoekige vensters met bovenlichten. Deur en venster in de eerste bouwlaag met rondboogvormig vulstuk; beide vensters in de tweede bouwlaag met segmentboogvormig vulstuk. Rechterzijgevel uitlopend in een topgevel met houten beschot. Beide vensters in eerste bouwlaag met authentieke houten rolluikkasten. Ook in de topgevel een rechthoekig venster. in de zijgevel van de uitbouw aan de achtergevel een rechthoekig venster met hoten rolluikkast.
Blinde linkerzijgevel. Aan het linkerdeel van de achtergevel een uitbouw in een bouwlaag met lessenaarsdak. Alle achtergevels zijn wit gepleisterd. In de achtergevel van de uitbouw rechts een rechthoekige houten deur en links een driedelig venster. Venster voorzien van een houten rolluikkast. In de oksel de uitbouw en de woonhuisachtergevel een aangebouwde serre in één bouwlaag. In de tweede bouwlaag van de woonhuisachtergevel eveneens een driedelig venster.
Het interieur van de voormalige pastorie is zowel qua indeling als uitmonstering grotendeels in tact: gangvloer met gele en zwarte tegels; woonkamers met marmeren schoorsteenmantels en plafonds met stucwerk ornamenten; trap met hoofdbaluster en trapleuning met spijlen; authentieke voordeur met vierdelig bovenlicht met hierin glas-in-lood raampjes met een bloemmotief.
Waardering
De voormalige pastorie van Griendtsveen is van architectuurhistorische waarde als redelijk gaaf en goed voorbeeld van een rijk uitgevoerde pastorie uit het einde van de negentiende eeuw, gebouwd in de stijl van het traditionalisme met lichte invloeden uit de chaletstijl in de topgevels. Het goed bewaard gebleven interieur onderstreept de monumentale waarde van het pand.
De voormalige pastorie heeft situeringswaarde als karakteristiek onderdeel van het beschermd gezicht Griendtsveen en als onderdeel van een drietal religieuze gebouwen aan de Helenaveense weg.
De voormalige pastorie heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uiting van een religieuze ontwikkeling binnen de katholieke kerk in de 19de eeuw en bezit op basis van deze waarden algemeen belang.

Door and window in the first storey with round arch-shaped surround; both windows in the second storey with segmental arch-shaped surround. Also in the top gable a rectangular window. in the side facade of the extension on the rear facade a rectangular window with wooden roller shutter box.
Blind left side facade. On the left part of the rear facade an extension in one storey with a sloping roof. All rear facades are whitewashed. In the rear facade of the extension on the right a rectangular wooden door and on the left a three-part window. Window provided with a wooden roller shutter box. In the angle between the extension and the rear facade of the house a built-on conservatory in one storey. In the second storey of the rear facade of the house likewise a three-part window.
The interior of the former rectory is largely intact both in terms of layout and decoration: hallway floor with yellow and black tiles; living rooms with marble fireplace mantels and ceilings with stucco work ornaments; staircase with main baluster and stair rail with spindles; authentic front door with four-part fanlight with stained glass panes with a flower motif.
Valuation
The former rectory of Griendtsveen is of architectural-historical value as a reasonably intact and good example of an elaborately executed rectory from the end of the nineteenth century, built in the style of traditionalism with light influences from the chalet style in the top gables.
